Too heavy for my trailer, I bought it to transport the Pluriel.
I have never had any business with him before, but from street view it looks like he works on his drive. It's a residential address. and my Disco will not go in many domestic garages, including mine!
I would bet your trailer is good enough for your disco.

Drive it and get a bloody taxi, your just making excuses to not spend money.

Gawd I hate drilling into stainless. I had a fancy headlight bar made out of it once with boxes under where the P80 headlights were to be mounted. I needed to drill biggish holes through the boxes, chickened out and went around the industrial estate looking for soemone who'd do it. It was for a 1930s roadster kit car. In one place there was a pic of a rod in the reception, the guy and I got nattering and he had his blokes do it for me while we nattered. Cost? "Cakes for the lads" Brill!!!

I'm sure that with decent drill bits and lubricant it's OK, I was just unlucky once.:(

Started a pilot drill 4mm an after 2 secs....snap  At that moment I thought this is going to take some time 🤣
I ended up standing on the work bench putting my weight on the drill.

Ok. I will be the 1 to ask, WHY?

Tis on supports between the deck & the engine bearers on a water caravan, its getting coded & there was only two bolts
in each leg. The surveyor wanted 4 bolts in them so had to remove the legs cause there was no way I was lying on my back
drilling upwards through stainless in a 3 foot hole, one side would have been ok but the other id struggle to get in behind
the engine. I might have got in but id still be stuck there now. 🤣🤣

Afternoon folks :).

Not wet here but has been very misty last couple of mornings.

Went on a friend help call yesterday, a leaky hot water tank, Tanks here are mains pressure with the heating element from the bottom. Get there and yep that's the seal that's leaking. She says well I have a new tank🤔 (nope not fitting that I finks).
Let me look yep same seal so steal the new 1 and fit to old tank. Getting an oval "thing" out of an oval hole with a heating element sacrificial stick and a thermostat tube is like one of them Chinese wire puzzle things:).
All sealed and leak free. There the story may end.............oh no, you are gonna love this bit;).

When she phoned I told her to just switch it off as the electrics are in the bottom where the leak is.
So I ask if its switched off "yes" points to a big cooker type switch on the wall outside the bathroom (yep I think good switch and its off:oops:)
Working on the seal I got a belt (swear here why I had forgot to bring my meter). Got it all back together and leak free without another belt.
It didnt seem to switch on right, so I said "leave it off it maybe a wet switch, I have an old spare good 1, be back tomorrow".

So today armed with a switch from that box of "why do I keep this stuff"🤔 And my meter.
2mins later found out the water in the tank is hot:oops: the feed in is live (although off) the big off switch was goosed and had been Bulgariarend. The 2 blue and browns had been connected together in the switch connections because the switch was broke "but I can make it work says the sheep man, and the guy I met says he can do it"🤔.
Check the main fuse box and found the 1 that turns it off (none are labeled) told her get a new switch I will fit it.

We might get eggs and a Lamb out of my good deed:)

Moral is even a water leak needs a DMM and don't trust nobody:p:vb-confused2::vb-groan2:.

I can smell fresh bread rolls cooking see you all later:).
