Anybody know why people leave descriptions for cars they have for sale that are totally opposite to what the vehicle actually is. Went to view a Ford Mondeo today for a friend to use as a work car. It stated it was immaculate, clean and reliable. It was none of those - why do these sellers do this ?
GGGGGRRRRRRRR
Shouldn't this be on the What grinds my gears thread
Not that I don't sympathise. ;)

Caring for ma hippo most of the day. The actuator arm moves if yer move it yerself but ma hippo wont come oot of restricted performance safe mode. Going int baff now as eye is cold. Will put up a fred int Freelander section later to see if anyone has any ideas. Seen peeps changing the actuator wiv some success. Others need a replacement turbo. Gottid additional errors after taking it ferra quick drive after messing wivvit to see iffit would magically get fixed. He's back int garage now wiv edgar singing him nursary rhyms. Eye has taken resistance measurements of the wiring loom. Need to look at the circuit to see where they connect too. Eye is well miffed.
Sorry mate.
electronix is such a begger!.:(:(:(

Eye can do the electronics bit. The problem is eye dunt know whats going on inside the turbo. Need to read the FL manual to see iffit will help. Am finking of taking it ferra drive to see if the dpf will empty now its on 23. 24 is normally the soot limit but there's no restriction on air flow. It will still drive. It may choose not to. May not allow a dpf regeneration iffit cant get the eggsauce hot enuff or his firmware wont allow it. The normal hot air through the eggsauce will burn oft the soot he creates on the trip. So it shouldn't fill up anymore. It has a post injection tonput fool in the eggsauce which burns and make tge eggsauce hotterer during dpf regeneration. Its that bit eye dunt know iffit will happen when needed.

W gave us both a right scare tonight.
Both sat at the dinner table I went out to get something and came back in to find her struggling for breath. Gave her a blast on my fentonil asthma stuff, banged her on the back and was all ready to give her the Heinlich manoeuvre. Her breathing came back.
She has had sinusitis/rhinitis for over a year now. Her nose runs for anything and almost all the time, she wakes up to eyes so gummy she can't see for quite a while, she has little sense of taste or smell and a more or less permanent ache around her eyes and the front of her face. Her throat gets very blocked and she coughs up yellow, bloody lumps of gunk. The doc gave her a course of antibiotics last year which just made her sick, this year she got another course of different antibiotics which she was able to put up with but after the course finished things went back to where they were.
The trouble is that she will put up with stuff for ages before doing anything about it. Way longer than I would.
So this wasn't fun at all and we have agreed that she is going to see either a doc or A&E on Monday.
I think some of the problem is that her lungs don't see the stuff that blocks her breathing tubes as foreign bodies so her normal cough etc reaction doesn't happen. Hence what happened.
Heck, I am no doctor!
She's OK now so we are a bit more relaxed about it all. But it was no fun.
Hopefully tomorrow will not bring such frights.
