It actually looks a good bet at that, but for sure that will go over 5. (Just a guess)
Can you not negotiate as it seems to be missing some cylinders.

Tis a bit like buying kit cars that someone has built. Much cheaper than buying the new kit, someone else has sourced all the donor bits, all you need to do is sort out any problems, done it with three now. All ran fine to begin with so more of a rolling restoration.yer got other bits with it, i like to buy unfinished projects been doing it for ye@rs.

But what you do requires a bit more knowledge, possibly. Dunno really.

No one has ever worked on one of my kits except for me, except for insurance paid accident damage to W's Speedster, when she got rear ended. and that was done feckin badly, it had to go back, with insurance approval and now it needs doing yet again!! There was no damage other than to fibreglass .
Oh and fire damage to another of hers that again was done under insurance and again, not very well. Still sold it for a profit and I gained a set of 5 lovely wire wheels which, you will recall, look really nice on my Marlin!
It's not a black one with spinners ont wheels

Funnily the Chesil went back to Chesil for repair thinking "Who could do it better?". The problem was that the old owner had flogged the business on. The new owners took it on but hadn't got a clue. We were having trouble getting it back.
Turned out they had subbed the work out to another fibre-glassing bodywork company and they were hanging on to it as payment from the company (Chesil) was not forthcoming! I went feckin mad and threatened to come round with a Plod to rescue our car. They suddenly straightened up and sorted it, sort of. Then W put it into a specialist aircooled bunch to have the autoshift fitted, (I did say I didn't put MY cars out for work, but she did!) They fitted it but at some point managed to back it into their compressor, so yet more bodywork on the rear end had to be done! and they did it no better than the other lot.
The company were on the edge of going bust so the original owner bought it back for a song and is still making shedloads of money from his cars!!
The wires totally look period but its a feck load of work keeping them clean and rustfree. Which I am ashamed to say I haven't done for years now as it's been off the road for years. Too busy in France and stuff. Also W can't get into it anymore with her back probs. Plus it's stored outside under tarps which don't do it any good.
Getting short on lifetime left to finish all my projects.
Noco's customer service is excellent. My battery charger/maintainer packed up after two and a half years of heavy use. Contacted Noco, they got back to me within the hour asking for proof of purchase, emailed that, they got back to me in ten minutes and they're sending me a new unit. Very impressed.
