That's made me chuckle!
Brought a cheap barcode scanner off ebay. Needless to say it worked for 5 mins and now doesn't. Messaged the seller to ask of I can return it... they said....

Take a selfie of you shaking your fist at the scanner and pulling a really angry face. The red hair should convince them to refund your money. What did you want a barcode scanner for anyway, don't mobile phones have apps for that?
