You'll 'ave to go and 'ave a lie down in a darkened room.;)

Thas kind. Cept I had to drive home the noisiest (yet most beloved ) vehicle I've ever owned, an then fit a new siphon in a clients third floor bathroom toilet (not great on the knees, lugging tools) before supper.
Still, ome made chilli an tacos, an a nice glass of wine (an a bit of fruit an nut) have ended the day most pleasantly.
Am finally lying down in a darkened room :D

Hello I've lived in Norfolk for 12 years and used to visit before moving up. It is flat and you can get a lot for your money. What type of place and amenities are you looking for?
We need to be near medical facilities and that's about it really :)

I loves bein onna coast. Can you not swim? :)
No I can't :(

Avoid;
1) Areas with torched cars
2) Areas that flood - check flood maps before settling.

Choose:
Somewhere with a few pubs within walking (staggering home) distance.

I don't drink but apart from that, sound advice cheers!

Guid morn
Had to stay in a hotel last night due to the 'new' Queensferry crossing bridge having been closed due to ice falling from the cables, as otherwise it would have been a 4 hour journey to get home, no fun especially with a leaking windscreen which does not look like getting fixed today cause hey ho the seal is coming from Glasgow and bridge likely to remain closed again today. Looks like a Duck tape temporary fix is required
:cool:

Kings Lynn has a decent hospital and amenities like big towns throughout the country. It also has a lot of interesting history and places to visit. Property is ridiculously cheap. There are many country properties nearby and places you can buy fantastic farm produce. Road links and public transport are relatively very good.
Cromer has a cottage hospital with increasing facilities. A lot of people retire there. The town is a bit seasonal but does have some good facilities and is absolutely packed bank holidays etc. A bit inland from there is lovely. Prices are higher but still cheap compared to rest of country.
I wouldn't recommend Norwich.
@TheQ what do you think?

Morning all. :D
Bright and calm this morning. But I hear Storm Dennis is indeed approaching to ruin yet another weekend.
Bin men caught me out with and early collection of the glass-crates. I had to chase him down the road. :)
Skipping breakfast this morning and going to have Bacon & Eggs at lunch time instead.
Today is "Weigh-in Wednesday" and I get to see how much I have lost or (heaven forbid) gained this week.
This dieting lark is addictive.

After all those fat-boy breckies you've been scoffing, I think you better stay off those scales :p.
I know what you are thinking, but all is not as it seems. Honest!
Paradoxically, carbs make you FAT, a high fat and moderate protein with limited carbs diet actually makes you skinny.
Who knew? :D
The proof is that so far in the previous 4 weeks I have lost 14 pounds, the foods are great and I don't get hungry.
Carbs are the reason we have a diabetes epidemic sweeping the Western world. Still got 3 or more stone to go though. :oops:
