Thats good going Dan. Keep going it will soon be gone.
Sounds like a good diet. Or is it the exercise that really does it. Raise the seat on your bike and grow a bit height V weight;)

Thanks @marjon ....TBH I think it is a combination of NOT drinking 3x 1L of Vodka each week (each bottle is the calorie equivalent of a day's additional food).
Plus the diet avoids/severely restricts Carbs (Satan's little helper) and I am in deficit by about 800 - 1,000 carbs each day.
However I am actually eating very rich & satisfying foods which mean you just don't feel hungry or "snackish".
Early days, only been doing it 5 weeks but I am pleased so far. I am sure the rate of loss will tail off but I am in this for the long-haul; I am fed up feeling fat, bloated and ill-at-ease with myself. All good motivation.

Congrats Jason, what was your peak weight? Mine was 16 and a half stone a few years ago, and most recently 15-4 just before Xmas.
It's good to know it can be done even when one is getting on a bit and the metabolism is dropping off. I think the heart-meds really don't help in that regard.
I've been slim all my life, so I'm at my peak weight now.
Not a tall person though at about 5'9"

wow that’s light. What height we talking. I am 6’1

M has often said I could do with a bit more meat but I still get in same jean size when I was 17. Guess I am 1 of the lucky ones.

he says looking at the beer in front of him:eek:

but all I can say is it’s working for you so keep doing it.

I'm a "dwarf" at only 5' 6 & 1/2" in my socks. From 18 to 30 I was 10-7 (c.67Kg) ....then I went and lived in America and the rot set in.
I'm hoping to get back to 11-Something at least. :)

Diet? Spill the beans man.. :)
It's just a LCHF (Low-carb High Fat) diet (very similar to a Keto/Atkins diet).
Given your body burns "X" calories while you just sit on your Ar$e anyway the plan is to eat "X"- 800 to 1,000 calories a day and make sure you get these calories from specific sources.
e.g. 70% from FATs, 10% from Carbs and 20% from Protein.
Seeing as fats are 9 calories per gramme and both Protein and Carbs are only 4 Calories per gramme fats become the "fuel" your body runs on instead of carbs/sugar.
The other recommendation is to ensure you get enough protein for your well-being. You need 0.4 to 0.6 grammes of protein for every pound of lean body mass each day.
That's what I am doing, and it is working very well for me at least.
