Yor dawgs more fussier then either of ours. If it looks at all like yuman food they takes it and swallows it down pronto!

Yur dawg's too clever by arf!! 🤣🤣🤣

Gawd it has been 'ot today.
cleaned out the hen hut and replaced the straw after treatin the place for mites.
The bleesed hens are just too friendly, couldn't keep them out of my way while I was doing all this. Had to get up to some right subterfuges!
Anyways their place is now lovely and clean and freshly strawed up, hope this stimulates them to lay a load more eggs as they are not yet really on song wiv it.

Then did a coupla tankfuls on the mowing machine.
Came in and even after a cool shower still sweating big drops. After half an hour or so was cool enought to be able to dress sensibly and go to the neighbours who get the champagne for us. Christened the new bot of gin they keep for us, they never drink it themselves and TBH it is a bit of a pain cos I don't allus want a G&T! 🤣
Lovely chat then home for dins!
Sleep well folks!! :):):)

I don't see the issue. One could have said "No thank you". But if he drove a hard bargain and they accepted the offer what are they complaining about, they had a choice. Moaning after the fact just makes them look stupid, it doesn't make the other party look bad. Puzzled. :(
The gripe of the locals seems to be that some Brit has come in and spent a load of money, (buying up stuff that no one else seems to have cared about in a down at heel place that was going further down) and then is making a success of it.
You see this all over the world.
Well, we do! ;)

Yup, its the same when Brits have the gut to buy derelict Mills in France or Finca's in Iberia and turn a ruin into a des-res. The locals that didn't have the gumption start moaning about "invasion" and no homes for locals/youngsters etc. when often the places the Brits take on have been empty for years and years.

This can be the reaction.
On the other hand sometimes the reaction is a big thank you for "saving their heritage".
TBH when we were looking we just saw money pit after money pit and said to ourselves, no wonder the locals simply buy a plot of land and get a new place built.
So that is what we did, and have never looked back.
But the Dutch friends bought two houses together in a terrace that had originally been one then got split into two. Then they made them back into one again. A lot of work but they have done a great job and TBH it hasn't cost them a fortune.
But you sure do have to go in with your eyes wide open and do your doo diligence! :):)
