Its surprising how many peeps put a private reg on a new car. Even a lease car. Unless the reg just happened to be a good one, eye would assume they originally put their own on, which they transferred to the next car.

I'm only hoovering cos my W is coming out of hospital in no state to do it herself.

You told me to stop moaning at getting up at an early hour.
When I was working I got up early, sometimes so early that I got to work before the caretakers and they arrived at 0700.
I had enough of working 60 hour weeks when I retired and would not dream of going back to any form of it. Normally now I don't arise until 0800.
I kinda understood some of what you say you are doing at work and I am happy for you.

I would also state that I retired with about 4 car projects to work on. Have yet to touch one, in the 10 years I have been not working. My "Gaffer" insists I finish all the DIY stuff in both houses. Find it incredibly boring so CBA to get out of bed and do it. So I am my own worst enemy!
Gaffer in this case being the company owner, he's always 'very busy', really needs to delegate and get organised imo. Will nail him down for a rise soon, the beloved currently earns more than i do.

TBH it does sound like something someone might do when putting lace trim round the edges of fancy knickers, but the less said about that the better!
My W earned more than me most of her working life, typical of someone not working in the public sector. But she had to commute a long way to get the dosh.
Sounds like quite a clever machine, and much better than the iron-on poop they give you to stick on the edges of stuff when you are cutting worktops or making up the interior of a walk in wardrobe, plus having to fight to get the iron out of W's grip!
