Re these right wing chumps all gathering together to "Make Europe Great Again."
God save us.

I'm thinking of starting a movement "Save Our Democracies".

Oops. just seen what it reads as an acronym.
Back to the drawing board.

Must start warming up soup and find a bag, big Thermos, boxes, cutlery, bowls, food, drugs etc for the afternoon's visit. for her obvs not me!!
Yessdi they offered her a sandwich.
I changed where they had written "wheat" on her allergy armband to "gluten" as it is in SOO many things.
I also explained to the nurse what happened when they once fed her some rice pudding in another private hospital. The chef swore blind there was no gluten in it.
It resulted in projectile vomiting, which went over me and nursing staff, and also burst the stitches on her wound. Are people REALLY so dumb?
She needed two subsequent operations to put it all right.

It is NOT a lifestyle choice.

Rant over I'm off.
Have a lovely afternoon!
:):):)

This is the missing one from the Greek/Roman charts don't know how or why๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿค”

Electric bus just went gliding silently past after charging overnight via a huge diesel generator at the depot.

Can't see the point if your charging with dervy gen ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ž

Does make you wonder why they don't have a proper leccy charger.

Often wonder the same, But;).

Has much diesel does a bus use?
If you charge it/them with a generator running efficently, does it take less diesel than the buses use?
You can then show (during the day) to your customers you are "green" ๐Ÿค”.

Our big town runs leccy buses in the city, they use the old tram wires, many old european cities do it to.

I am not against the elecy car but the bashing that "we are helping the enviroiment peeps" need to really think where/how that power is supplied.

We drive V8s (3ish) and are not ashamed:p, we have very little in the way of an electric bill (solar), its what works for us.

The power lines can't cope with all the buses plugged in at the same time, they'd melt :(
Buses take a lot more power than cars so they use diesel generators
Just go's to show the infrastructure can not cope, what are thay doing, nothing but thay won't to build more nuclear stations, used to fish of Bradwell but no one would eat the fish as a lot had deformations, no eyes, wrong and bent body, deformed mouths even caught some with two heads,so we stopped going.๐Ÿณ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿฌ

Exactly my sentiments could not agree more! !!!

Afternoon folks:).

Have to say its cold but bright. Solar fully charged but still ice on the pool cover.

Done nothing of note really.
But we do now have a very, very fat ****land in the paddock today as she was being picked on by the full size horses. Nieghbour asked if he could use the paddock/stable, We have done it for him before. He is the 1 that cuts and bails the paddock grass.
So in a month we will have a mini, mini shetland in the paddock:).

Factor in a good tripod.
I'd love one of those fings what turns as the earth turns so you can keep a planet or summat steady in the view, for photography.
Dunno how much they costs.
EQ variety tracks in equatorial plane manually but can be fitted with a couple of motors for astrophotography.
Az types track by following step method.
There's a few sold as go-to for programming with a hand control or link to your laptop via an autoguider camera.
Cost for a good EQ motorised mount start ยฃ350 but the payload is few kgs to what you are willing to pay for valuable telescope.
There's a few standard names like skywatcher celestron Bresser EQ and az mounts. Most selling the package telescope and mounting with motors or manual.

When I was a kid in Hull they had....
TROLLEY buses. :banana::banana::banana:

So nothing new, just didn't need the losses incurred by having to make, provide and lug heavy batteries around, charging them etc.

I guess the biggest argument against is the aesthetic one.

So, all you green bottomed merchants! Are aesthetics really worth all the harm you are doing to the planet by manufacturing batteries????

Our Froggy friends have put one in with the other normal sized 'oss. Very sweet.
To make sure they would get on, they put up a separating bit of electric fencing between them but they could extend theitr heads over it if they chose to. It seems to have worked as they now get on fine.
They sent me a pic of their dottir, the vet, on the back of the Shetland. Still looks a bit wrong to me but I am sure it isn't!

Cheers mate!
I'll have to suss out a good place to put it/them.
We face south so I don't know if that makes a difference.
To the north and east would be harder.

Need to do some gnomework!!:):):)

Nah, it's having a conductor to hop off and switch the pantograph over at the terminus end ...

I have not been able to do anything on the mini today because it is raining all the time. :(
I did 2 indoor jobs for "domestic management" today so I can skive off on Sat/Sun as needed I think (if the weather is suitable). :)
The mini is becoming a bit of a sinkhole for money. I keep seeing things I want for it. LOL

Job creation, a bloke/wimmins at each terminus to do just that, if the driver cannot be bothered!
What's not to like?!!!
TBH the main problem would be when it falls off for some reason, which they did rather often, and they had to use the extended barber's pole, normally mounted on the rear of the bus, to put it back on, which always seemed to take an age!
But I bet that nowadays they could make better ones!
