Sidelights off during daylight, left car stood all day and night, lights were glowing dim when it went dark and off again this morning..... baffled

...the unpleasant BIL who bullied his mother into parting with a lot of money so he could buy himself a car and "have his freedom" was asked to investigate why there is a "wet wall" and mould/efflorescence appearing on his mother's utility room wall (other side of her bathroom). His response.. "I'm not feeling very well and I am not up to visiting Mum". I have suggested she get a plumber to take a look. I cannot believe what an odious little creep he has become.

Had me hoss piddle appointment this morning (after an 11 month wait) for an MRI scan, part of the investigation into why my left lug doesn't work. Only took 10 minutes for the scan, back home in under an hour.

Lug (ear) or Lung?
My Right ear stopped working (90%) and I went to a local place and had "microsuction" they found a huge plug of hard black wax had formed and had shifted to rest up against the eardrum stopping it from vibrating/moving.
£60 and 40 mins and all was sorted. I hope you have a similarly positive outcome.
Lug 'ole. Like you I had a hard lump of wax removed just over two years ago. It took 3 visits to the clinic to get it out. 12 months later I had another de-waxing and hearing test. My hearing on the left side was well down after the first visit hence the hearing test. The clinic referred me to my GP who referred me to the hoss piddle, they did another hearing test in December and concluded I need a hearing aid and the loss is simply due to ageing. I should get the HA in a few weeks. The original referral recommended an MRI scan so they did that today.

If you are eny thing like me the HA collects dust in the draw and when you do need it all the batterys are dead
Spent a couple of hours in me workshop today, trial fitting cam wheels onto new cam shafts for me motorbike injun. Getting them on without risking damage was problematic as the wheels are an interference fit. Getting them off is no problem with the special tool I have. Late in the job I realised I have also got the special tools for pressing them on, after a dig in me special tools box I found them where they have been for a quarter of a century. Sorted

No, but I've got a tool for adjusting valve clearances on a 1969 Vauxhall Victor, had the tool since 1976 and probably only used it once.
