Small world.
I know the area quite well but had never been down that road before. The diversion was slower than via the A47 but about the same distance.
The annoying thing was by the time I found the closure I had done 5 miles and had to go back to where I started to get onto the diversion.
Tratter had its MOT this morning. PASSED

The biblical floods forecast by the met office have not arrived. They must have their window blinds shut, its bone dry here.
Finally dry and even sunny, so we are loading the vehicles, one will go on the trailer soon.
Took the two dogs to the vets for their pre-journey-back-to-blighty check-up, paperwork and worming tablet.
€102! Flipping eck, fings have gone up. Wonder if it is to pay for the two noo vets they have hired?
And we weren't out under an hour. I asked why it took so long as usually they are pretty prompt. "It's Monday" was the answer.

As youngsters on our Sunday motorbike rides the St Olaves Bell was a watering hole we used.

...that I have just sat with my 7YO Granddaughter who has number blindness (dyscalculia) to help her get a grip on numbers and not be afraid of it. She was trying to do homework online (tablet) last week and was clearly distressed because she couldn't even do simple sums (16 - 8) against a 30s clock timer. She looked like a rabbit in headlights...totally terrified. There were tears.
I bought a load of teaching aids at the W/E and we sat down and did nearly a whole page of sums before it was time to be taken home. She is very pleased with herself. No tears.
