Driving home this morning, later than usual as the carers used the last of Dads bread last night, the Big Yellow Ball in the sky was a tad too bright ... shouldn't moan, but it did cause other drivers problems, I always carry a pair of sunglasses for just such an occurrence ...

Morning All. :D
I was feeling lazy, so I used the excuse of "petrol" to take the car to get the paper. :)
Not had much (if any) of this rain they keep talking about. The garden looks like a desert. :)
Apparently I am to "Hoover up" with the mower as there's little grass but lots of fallen leaves.
Have a splendid day. :D

Morning all.
Weather here a bit weird, warm, sometimes sunny, still windy.
Yessdi was a great success, three vignerons visited, Disco up to the bottoms of the windows all over the back with the seats down with boxes of wine. So both the UK and Frogland restocked.:)
Then dins at our fave place by the canal, last time till next season.

Came home to find that one of two escaped hens was waiting for us but the other wasn't and this a.m. searched all over the land for her, cannot find her. :(
Have a good day folks!:):):)

All the other dogs have always traveled in the rear of the landrover… this 1 no chance,Mrs has spoilt him. Open the door & straight in.
Drop the tail gate & he sits by the other car in disgust
SWMBO’s best little cocker bitch won’t ride in the back with the others. She knows she’s special and waits for the side door. She won’t try it with me but still sits there in the back telling everyone else what to do. She’s the smallest as well, blimmin little prima donna 😂😂😂

The lawn was dutifully vacuumed as requested.
Call from SWMBO while I was doing it. She was at her Ma's and the MIL was inexplicably sick all of a sudden.
Wifey was a bit worried because her Grand Mother (MIL's mother) called out to them one morning "I feel sick!" and when they went in her bedroom she had "gone" - just like that; boom, deaded.
So wifey was fearing the worst. She cleaned her and the place up and sent her to bed.
She called the old gal just now and she says she feels better and has no idea why she was sick.

First world problem I know but nonetheless amusing/upsetting, especially if you are a wine drinker, bearing in mind that more booze drunk in the UK is wine now where it used to be beer.

I was looking all this up to find out how much duty we are going to have to pay on the wine we import, that is if they stop us. We have been lucky so far.

So, found out that as of next year they are going to charge duty accoring to the alcoholic strength of the wine in each bottle, and the categories are by 1/2 % difference, (See graph in the link).

Also upsetting to discover that if you buy it in a Brit supermarket, in an £8 bottle of wine, the wine only costs 90p to make and 80p to sling in the bottle and label it!

Anyway amusing reading, except if like us you may have to pay the duty (and VAT twice), on each bot.
