Medium squirrel has had the usual nuts dropped. Fink he knows the fence rattle attracts me attendtion. If eye dun't appear he goes up n down quickly multiple times. Eye has bin monitoring where he goes wiv his nut. Across me patio and under me other fence. Across me naybors grass then up his fence. Along said fence yop then jump on the next naybors shed. He goes to the apex to look over then back down the roof un jumps to the end fence. Then runs along this going across the bottom of the gardens. Have seen him do this multiple times on different days.

Spottid me little squirrel climb me fence and sit on me garage apex. He would have looked for food on me patio before climbing. He sat watching me int kitchen. Top window was already open so eye dropped a nut oot. Then another. Eye then sat down. After a minute he can down. Eye got closer to the window. He were watching me so eye moved away as he were below the window to one side. After he had moved away eye seen him spinning a nut wiv his paws and mouth in what seens to be a preferred location at the end of me garage. Bingo. That could be the first time he could have realised eye provided the nut ferrim.

Morning All. :D
The knee pain that had kept me awake for the majority of Saturday night has now gone completely. :)
I am sure it will be back at some point though.
Got to get out on my side-roof to reattach a rainwater downpipe that has come adrift. :(
2 more chopping boards to make too!
Have a great day. :D

Three of our four hens escaped from their run yessdi.
This happens occasionally.
Last time one got out and went to the very back of the house, I went to get her back and she ran around trying not to be caught.
The youngest dog (Cocker Spaniel) joined in and transformed herself into a sort of sheep dog, wonderfully circling behind her and driving her towards me so I got her quite quickly.
Yessdi she joined in again and managed to herd all three back towards the netting that goes around their run, so I could pick them up, one by one, as they tried to push their way in through the netting. The very last one she got very close to and could have hurt her if she'd wanted to by grabbing her neck and shaking it, but she didn't.

We used to have a King Charlie that did the same when we had hens back in the UK.

(All to be seen ont telly in later episodes of "One man and his dog"!!) 🤣🤣🤣

This dry weather has weakened some of the places where pegs go in to secure the netting to the ground. I went round fixing it after this. Managed to trip over a guy rope that we use to hold the poles up it is strung from, fell into the netting and swore rather a lot. Had to take a couple of poles into my "workshop" and straighten them in the vice.
