Goan ohm turmorra. Modurn medzin be mazin reely. Aven zinna leech orra scarifier an us’ve bin yur vour days. Waddidun du wiv orl them leeches? Ism back in their ponds?
Judging by the number that came out of my pond yesterday, the answer is 'yes'. I was ruthlessly thining out the oxygenating weed 'cos it had taken over the entire pond - the leeches were not impressed with my handiwork at all.

Afternoon folks :).

Its Open :mexicanwave: :banana: Our little restaurant nearby first day today, just back and really nice to sit outside in the sun, with good basic fare and only 5mins down the road.

So that has obviously meant nothing got done today, oh well there's always tomorrow:).

We too have done more or less F all today.
The reason being that we are going doon to the toon for some jazz and dancing stuff tonight.
So we have had a very good lunch which W is currently sleeping off.
At first I thought I would get on with things but then it started to rain......

Then it stopped....
By which time it was too late.....
enjoy the rest of your days folks!

....that the new worktops are ordered, the new sink is ordered and I have managed to "slip" all the existing worktops out from under the tiling all along their rear edges without a single tile pulling off the wall (a big worry and a great relief).
Herself (Reta) wants the back panelling on the cupboards of the peninsular to look like those fancy acoustic panels.
So I am looking to panel with spray painted MDF and batten with oak battens to match the Oak worktops but have them stained and satin varnished instead of oiled. A nice little project to please my lovely and probably <£2k

So...
Both W and I are a bit under the weather with cold-like symptoms.
We had an early luch as you know. She has just announced that she doesn't feel well enough to go to the jazz.
Bit of a shame as we have already bought the tickets but I don't want her forcing herself.
So, bit of a wasted day really, no one's fault.
(I can take or leave jazz so that's OK.)
Enjoy the evening folks. :):):)

Faced with a night of Jazz I think I would develop symptoms of illness too.
I once went to an IBM "Sales Club" do for peeps that had made their quota and the entertainment was John Dankworth (Dampsquib) and Cleo Laine. God was I bored.
Another company event I went to had Ray Charles as the "Star" equally boring.
But the absolute worst was a company do that included the whole performance of "Side By Side By Sondheim" at the Mermaid theatre; arranged by our manager as our Xmas treat (we were all climbing the walls with boredom).
