Hi

Have noticed that some taps can peel if the coating hasn’t been done correctly

Personally would go to a kitchen showroom as if there’s any issue u have a come back where I fear that getting them offline u have all the hassle of taking them out and sending them back , plus of course the hassle of being without them

Whereas with a shop u can take pictures and show them in person as at least then they may provide u with a new set and bring the old ones back after you’ve removed them

Assume many shops would ask for a deposit

Hope that’s useful to u

What you mean drive out the village   & go round shop to shop place to place drive into Glasgow get stuck in traffic
fall out with the misses, then have to go for a meal. So thats....costing fuel, meal, time & hassle Id be cheaper better a pallet
of cheap taps 🤣🤣

I ripped half of it out, now the house is a tip as ive started de-canting the contents of the cupboards :oops: ive not bought the kitchen tap I was looking for a nice copper one as all the new pots ect will be copper. ooffft its a thought
So noo kitchen = noo pots and pans etc! Love it!:cool::cool:
You really are going to town!
We have one copper pan, the sort that professional chefs use, sometimes, from Villedieu-les-Poeles in Normandy, 15cms across. They are total barstaff to keep clean and shiny. And they rquire the insides re-tinning from time to time which costs an absolute fortune.
So although we see them in auction lots sometimes, whole sets go quite cheap, but we would never buy them. Have a look at the state of the insides of these mothers! https://www.etsy.com/de-en/listing/...b__BdGJZKQ3JAN0hMKUfGRclD5x0vSG4aAnu7EALw_wcB
Maybe you are getting more modern ones which look after themselves a lot better! I know some come with stainless insides.
My tip to keeping them looking good, apart from not using them is to, once clean, coat them in cooking oil inside and out and use that as polish. They'll look good for quite a long time without too much effort.

I think eldest dottir is getting one or one like it in her noo kitching. But they look like trouble to me. I had enough fun repairing the ceramic innards of our one over here a while back.
Wouldn't want to be doing with finding space for all the gubbins that goes with one. But each to their own.

Oh aye im chucking everything out, replacing everything in the kitchen & starting again. Ive not looked into the pots/ect
but everything will be copper. Ta much for the tips. :):) Keep well oiled 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers hic.....

What's the name of these tabs? They could be just what I need for mine but many of the things on the market that I know of are strictly not for Collie breeds.
I'm sorry I don't know but I'll let you know as soon as we get some.
There is a faint chance I may be able to find it by going through past emails from the vets as they invoice us that way althiough we always pay on pick-up, so I hardly ever read them.
There is a vet on here, @guineafowl21 I think, he may be able to help you.
And if it isn't you @guineafowl21 my apologies for allowing LZ to prompt your name in vain!

I've got a large number of the Villedieu pans etc and yes, they do take a lot of upkeep BUT the quickest way I have found is putting them in the dishwasher! They come out beautifully clean and shiny but always make sure that all water droplets have been towelled off as leaving them causes staining. Most of mine have been acquired over a number of years and they are mosty lined with ?? (I can't remember the metal at the moment) which has lasted for years, However, in Villedieu, this is now not used to line pans and the last one I bought is lined with s/s - it was very costly but does work. Copper pans are lovely to cook in though.
