Anyone got one of these ?
lots cheaper on Amazon btw (£43)

ARMOOLOO

Plugs in ODB port and gives a dash display , speed, revs, temps, even height above sea level
Can't open a link. sounds like an armour plated bog?!
Apart form the height above sea level, (like it makes much difference, unless you are a mole or a flying machine) what does it give you that your ornery instruments don't?

Turbo boost pressure
G force
also an inclinometer
0 to 60 or whatever speed
braking times
Battery volts
compass
Time driven
trip for miles
outside temp
digital speed and rpm
engine load in %

etc
(link took you to my account so I deleted it)

Don't know what sort of cooking you are doing wiv your spuds, but 2.5 hours seems a massive amount of time. If you cut them up smallish, cos, frinstance, you are going to be mashing them, then 10 mins in boiling watter will do them. Ain't that cheaper, quite apart from quicker? If you are making shepherds pie that would do wouldn't it?
The secret to boiling all veg is to be aware that the larger the mass of uncut veg the longer it takes.
Yep they were cut small. It was a slow cooker. Eye has a lectric oven wiv hobs but we never bother to use it. That took about arf hour to boil spuds a few years ago.

I've found that a harmonica can be played most effectively by placing it over the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner. Something like @Hippo 's Henry is ideal but other makes can be pressed into service. That avoids the problem of getting out of breath completely.

The sucking in was the problem! I needed to blow out to stay conscious! So not out of breath, but too much breath!

.... that I bought a "Spotwasher". No, not one for pimples and adolescent Acne, it's one for those small indiscretions committed by pets, drunkards and clumsy oafs.

Basically, pooh, pee, Barf's and human spillages of wine, and hot beverages.
I have just set to and cleaned 2 mats in the hall and 2 upholstered barstools the kids spilt all their food all over.

Basic action of the thing is to squirt warm cleaning solution on demand while simultaneously scrubbing and then immediately suck-up the released dirty water.
I think it worked quite well, I am just waiting for the items to dry off again.
With 3 cats in the house now the "incidents" are increasingly common. :(
Hope it works as well as you thuink once the stuff has dried off.
Just wathced a prog on making axminster carpets, which ended with what to use to clean three types of stain. Very interesting, especially the one on red wine!!
Which got me searching for a way of removing dog wee, as we have a stain on the newish upstairs bedroom carpet from when one was a puppy. Cleaning companies have failed to shift it. So I googled it and came up with one that looks hopeful even for dried in accidents.
If anyone is interested.
