Blowing hard during the night, all good though this morning
Up early as council surveyor arriving at 0800, going to try and stay calm.
Hope all safe after the storm :)
.

Surveyor been, plasterer not getting paid for the terrible job and it's being done again.
He took some photos and promised to get it all sorted. ...Been here before....... twice ,, πŸ€” :(
Not holding my breath :D

No wonder he is grinning!!! Got beyong the first date! 🀣

Marmalade finished jarring a minute ago, had to do it in two batches.
The first lot was not as good as the second, we had to alter the recipe as the fruit was so thin skinned the first lot didn't set quite as it should.
Nevertheless 34 jars of all sorts of sizes. Half with a wee tot of whisky in!
Have to drive W to the docs to get her arthritic hand joints injected.
Have a good day folks.:):):):):)

...that I may be in trouble wit the lathe motor current requirements.
IF you change a 4XX Volt 3-phase motor from Y to Delta, yes the current goes way up.
So a 480v motor went like this in t'interweb experts calcs:

VoltsRoot3Winding VOhmsAmps
"WYE"
480
1.732
277
20
13.85681
Delta
480
1.732
277
20
41.568
Wow! that's a huge increase.

But…

I am going from 400v Y to 230v Delta, so it looks like this:

VoltsRoot3Winding VOhmsAmps
"WYE"
400
1.732
231
20
11.54734
Delta
230
1.732
133
20
19.918
No none of these figures are measured, just calculated on standard formulas.

So we are going up to 20A maybe. I wonder if my 16A breaker will go pop? 😊
Maybe I will need to alter my Garage β€œSpur” to 30A.

@My Old Landy ...what did yours come out at Brian, and what size breaker is on your lathe circuit may I ask?

Hope you get it sorted. Try the 16A first and see what happens, but a new dedicated line would make it better.

Don't take my electrical advise I can make smoke with 12v :p :vb-groan2:.

Afternoon folks:).

Been a lovely sunny bright day. Still white stuff on the best LR products on the drive, luckily we dont have to waste the fuel to deice.

Ms on the "now we can vote again" to find out what we need to do:) She has passed the message to our friends here and many haven't heard of it.

Watched Mama fox and 3 cubs walk, sniff and investigate our front garden and the road last night:). To some they are a pest, To me they are wildlife and we the people have to live with them.
