I got the 100years Islay one as I was there when princess Anne visited. Bloody entourage pushed through at Aoradh.I’ve got quite a few nice kilchomans too

As for a recommendation, it depends how much $$$ you would like to part with. Everyone agrees that a Bunnahabhain 18y/o is very nice, it then so are the prices. Some Bruichladdich’s are good apparently, but you would need a good whisky shop to get the choice.
In my opinion they are all foul tasting, similar to chewing on a peat
