Up at midnight still trying to find someone who has LR045271 and LR045272.... all these websites that stock them are drop shipping for britpart and britpart got 0. Any ideas where to find these guys?

Tried eBay, part places, breakers...

If anyone wants to make £ just go make these seat runners! I've got a quote for £670 for both sides, however that's genuine land rover with literally NO ETA on delivery.. :vb-splat:
Looking at the Defender seat frames and the runners on some Fiesta seats I bought for the Transit I would say that you could easily adapt those or any Ford runners to suit

These would probably fit

That is of course true, as I pointed out to W who passed the link onto me.
But of course there will always be those who tear the backside out of it.
"Politicians with seats outside London are allowed to put utility costs at one of their homes on expenses – whether it is in London or in their constituency." So they rent a tiny place in London and pay the bills on their mansion in the shires. Give someone a loophole and they will drive a coach and horses through.
If I was PM, anyone whose main home is too far away to travel in and out every day would be allowed to stay in a hotel overnight, or maybe to have a one bed flat. But not a three or 4 storey house in Notting Hill.
Simplest way of doing it would be to give them a reasonable allowance and any more then that would be up to them. Then they could buy as big a place as they want.
This is only the same as it used to be when I was travelling around as a rep. Why should MPs be different?
Plenty of old military barracks with rooms to sleep in. Oh wait not good enough for asylum seekers because of their building maintained is bad but fine for the armed forces.

Talking about MPs claiming expenses for their second homes.
Do you think that MPs should not have second homes so they can attend the House of Commons but rather live in barrack rooms?
That's an interesting slant on the question!
I think Russia has or used to have a special hotel to be used when Russian MPs had to stay near the Kremlin.
So yup! I'd like to see Brit MPs going for this! Only problem is where are the nearest barracks with space anywhere near the H of C?

I think it's a good idea as it saves hotels, if the govt bought an old base plenty of accommodation, security etc open the NAAFI up for drinks etc would save the tax payer alot. I'm sure Aldershot and places have some unused z blocks they can be put in.

I can agree about this. But it is just that peeps earning what they do in that job feel "entitled" to more luxury. If prospective MPs knew they would be having to spend part of their working time living as if they were doing National Service I think we would get a lot fewer takers!
Mind you, yet again, I'd love to see the Tory party reduced to only those who had been in the services.

oops, forgot, Public School dorms, canteens and communal showers are much the same, I should know having gone through it for 9 years!
EDIT. They probably are no longer like that seeing as how I left in 1972.:(:(:(
Back to the drawing board!!!

If I earned as much as they do I wouldn't care where I slept

Eye fink yer will find what they can claim is capped so it will be a flat. Some of them flat share.

Post Tortoise, You are driving down a country lane and see a fencepost with a tortoise on top!
You know he/she did not get there by themselves, You know he/she does not belong there and now has no idea what to do next having been elevated to a position beyond their ability. You may ask what dumb arse put the tortoise up there in the first place? Sadly the answer is WE did.
Sums up most politicians today.
Thas er bit cruel. Put it back ont floor where it belongs.
