Went to dunelm ont wednesday. Tis a chop full of soft fings. Gotted meself annuvva set of bed sheets. 53 sovs for a sheet, fitted sheet, duvet cover un two pillow cases. Found a hole in me old sheet. Fort it be ok. Got biggerer. Then eye ripped it. Then me foot went frew it. Gorra go back for a replacement as eye couldn't remember which type of sheet it were. Eye will then have 3 sets of everyfink. Should make washing easier over winter
And the old ones make great rags for the garage :D :D

Huh!
Octopus got back to me after I tore them off a strip about now having to have downloaded an app before I can benefit from "Saving Sessions"!
They gave me BS about it being a misunderstanding but have "opted you into the Octoplus scheme from our end", in other words accepted that demanding I download an app, when I don't want to, is a bit discriminatory.
So all is well that ends well.
So happy that my complaint actooly resulted in a positive outcome, for once. ;):)

'Er indoors bought some curtains from them this week, Ultra blackout type. Shop wouldn't take them back as they were out of the packaging, and she lost the receipt. They cost a lot, don't hang right, and had to have the blackout parts cut off to get them anything like. Most (if not all) their stuff is grossly overpriced chy knees tat. She used to be able to go to a high street shop with her measurements, and get curtains hand made with quality fabrics. Those days are gone

Just asked wifey about this. she gets lots of stuff from them and says you can choose your fabric etc and they will make you made to measure stuff. she says they stock good makes as well as others. So she has nothing negative to say about them.
Maybe your shop isn't like ones she has used.
Sorry for you mate, and your missus!

I bought alot of their teddy stuff, bedding and blankets. I find it good. Even bought a big blanket to turn into a cardi. It's fab and so warm but some can be hit and miss. Bought no end of poplin for mask masking and now I tend to go in for wool.

Oh Jeez!
My books arrived.
the cover of the one on Art Deco cars!
My Marlin Roadster is just crying out for a little bit of modification to make it very, very similar.

Last thing I need is yet another project! But could I possibly make a hard top that would transform it to look like it?

Yes, who the HECK did that with the spare wheel!? Just to get a luggage rack on! When I went on honey moon in mine I made a luggage rack to go over the spare which sits where this rack is but it gives you an idea!
This is what mine looks like with the soft top on, not so good!

Now for the MG Airline.

How hard could it be? And the Marlin is just a shade longer and a bit lower so the Airline look would be even more graceful!

I might have to pick Andy Saunders' brain!

Sorry I prefer the Marlin (here have a virtual slap) 🤣🤣 but id fit wire wheels instead of the bbs copys.

Well as I have shown you before and as you can see in the pic, my Marlin does have wires.
I am just thinking, vaguely, of making a hard top for it and thence why not an airline style one. It would go with the period and W and I are deeply into Art Deco.
(We honeymooned in the Agatha Christie suite in the Burgh Island hotel for heaven's sake!)
You have to be real careful with Airline styling to not make it look yuk, but properly done it looks the dog's doodahs.
The example I put up could simply be not the best one, but I put it up.....
Oh I can't be going on like this..... too late!!!

Sleep well folks!!!:):):)
