We brought another old fishing boat in to scrap it today, think its 150 tonnes. hooked it up to the work boat &
the rib boat (the rib does the steering by pushing the nose round) Well some git stole the steering wheel so that was
loads of fun. Then it ran aground before we could get it up the slip so we attached a couple of ropes to it an the tide
was going out I was on top of it when it started to roll over & had to get off it by hanging off the hiab into the work boat  🤣 🤣

I was knackered after all that jumping between the boats & working the hiab was raining too so had loads of gear on.
Attached a 1000t winch onto it after we cut 2 holes either side of the bow. All good fun. :):)
I do sometimes wonder if your missus ever reads these posts.
She's blonde is she? If not I bet her hair would turne white at all this!!

...I now have a "house guest" and it has only cost me £4K.
Welcome back Son.
Nice of her mother to slag me off on social media for clearing all of HER daughter's debts.
All counters reset to zero is a bad thing? They can navigate their courses without baggage now. AND... I am the bad guy?
HER mother is just a mouthy tramp anyway. But I feel good for venting it here. :D
So sorry to hear this, a case of like mother like daughter eh?
Mebbe you should go to the place where she is venting and tell her to repay it all if she doesn't like you paying it off.

All the very best with everything to do with this situation. Like a lot of others we've been there with this too. We'll be here with support and venting space!;)

Wonder if anyone was filming you doing your stuntman bit hanging off the hiab as the boat rolled over and out from under you.
Can just hear em saying! "Must put this ont Yoou toob!!!"
(Keep forgetting that youtube was invented by a Glaswegian! Originally to put up vids of toobs doing silly things! ) 🤣 🤣 🤣

Aye I'd do the same.

There was people watching I didnt pay any attention but one of the young lads says they seen me dangling from the crane.
thankfully they didnt see me at the back of the boat when the lads were holding me by the legs & I was hanging over the
edge untying the rib boat 🤣 🤣

Just a a quickie to make you laugh.
I found today a gift card from my dottir for my burpday last Feb. £40 from Waterstones, checked it out and I have to spend it before 12/2/24. Ooops!
So I spent a long while banging about on their rather useless site.
Got my basketful and made sure it came to over the 40 sovs.
Set about filling in personal details, address, email etc etc.
How I'd like it delivered and got onto card details to pay the excess.
Finshed filling it in and pressed "Pay".

Without thinking Duuuuuuuuhhhhh! What about the flipping giftcard? As I had to fill all the stuff in and at no point was I asked if I had a gift card or whatever.
Simpleton that I am.
So much easier in a flipping shop.
So of course I had to send em an email explaining etc etc.
No sweat, I can send it all back freepost if the wust comes to the wust.
But you can imagine the language one half second after I pressed the "go" button.

Another quick laugh.
I was stood under the Pluriel with the tester asking him what it was that made the annoying rattle from the front suspension.
He showed me the rods that go from the ARB to the suspension, which I broke my thumb changing a few years back. He demonstrated how loose they were at the ball joint. We laughed about how often you have to change them on all sorts of cars. I said
"Is that a fail then?"
"No, it's an advisory, but I won't be putting it on the ticket as I have just advised you."!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣
"(and I know you'll change them anyway!)"
🤣🤣🤣🤣

How much more does it use at night with wipers and heater on?
No idea. Wiper won't be much but heater would be a lot. No where near the energy to move the car.

When yer fink about it diesels use over 10 times the fool to accelerate, compared to cruising. We dun't notice it as tank range on diesels is a lot biggerer. Leccy cars show the miles keft. Loads of chargers oot there but yer still worried about gerrin to one.

Me electric heater on ma hippo is somethink like 40amps from memory. Heated seat was about 4 amps. Can't remember the eggsact figures. Me leccy car had heated seats.
