I was in the builders merchants yesterday and got chatting to the gatekeeper.

He tells me that the day before they had 2 guys come in with a truck and load up with lots of stuff and start heading towards the exit. The staff had been keeping an eye on them and put a forklift with a ton of aggregate across the exit and told them to go in to the trade counter and pay and come back with the receipt which would be checked off against their load and they would be allowed to leave. They come out 10 minutes later and say "Oh, it seems the job's been cancelled, we'll put everything back".

They were allowed to do so, and then they left. The gateman said they checked the reg number of the tipper-truck they were in and the plates belonged to a stolen ford Focus.

Chancers! LOL ;)

Phoned surgery yesterday and robot told to make appointment on line
Answered all questions on line and told to see GP asap
Called in surgery and told that can't make an appointment, have to do it on line
Told her no facility on line for making appointments at this surgery
Told to phone surgery tomorrow to have assessment
Back to square one then , throw another six to start
Nice lady from the surgery phoned this morning
Asked me the same questions that I answered on the on line form
She's going to ask the doctor if he thinks I'm worth fixing
Over 75's are at the bottom of the fix list it seems

Been out on the bike this morning, breathed in some two stroke smoke, had a sausage and egg butty and feel a lot better
Have a good afternoon all :)

Having a busy afternoon getting Dad ready for his 16:00 appointment at the local hossy ...

Then they ring and say can you come next week, we have an emergency ongoing ...

Lucky I hadn't left Dads yet but got a bit soaked as I resorted the car back to Baby Transport instead of Gerry Transport ...

Gonna reward myself with a Greggs saussy roll or two ...

I think there will always be some prioritisation, especially when resources are tight.
However, all of these practises are part of a "trust" and you (presumably) paid all your NIC's in order to have the benefit of NHS treatment. If the "trust" tries to fob you off, they are in breach of that Trust (very special word that).
A written letter explaining their obligations to you to the right person, at the right time will probably get you the outcome you need.

I had this with my shoulder where the tendon had been ripped off in an accident. They tried to fob me off with Physio, but I had proof they "knew" there was actual damage to the shoulder for months (the Ultrasound scan) and had failed to act to treat me in good time and had thereafter not acted in good faith. So if you keep getting the run-around log every contact and report your concerns to the "practise-manager" or if you get blocked at a hospital then their customer care director.

I wish you the very best of luck. :)

Ma T has been getting the run around for quite some time, she has various issues but felt that the GP was always pushing their opinion / clock rather than asking how she actually felt. Luckily, she got to see a new lady GP who just happened to be an old Saturday kid at the Waitrose in Turktown where Ma wuks. Got an extended consultation and the doc went to the trouble of explaining what the symptoms she had all related to, is her liver. She still feels poorly, but at least happier that she knows what's up with her.

We tried making our own, weren't a bad effort. but we have found an English butcher in country and his stuff is great, we get a couple of orders a year.
Wonder if he would send to you? he overnights ours frozen and we pick up at the office. He is far north west in country so not much difference in travel?
There is gonna be someone doing the same thing in your country.

Cant beat a proper pie and chips sometimes :)

I used a brand new Disco that was a company vehicle. It spent more time in the garage than the Mechanic. I swore that I would never ever, ever purchase one for myself.
Iā€™m now on my second FREELANDER.
First one...?
