Here is a pic of the said cistern on the back of our loo that was perfick after repairs to washers etc last Monday.
Started chucking water out last night.

Looks evil don't it?
Like someone hit it with an ammer or summat. but obvs not.!
Cracks so wide I cannot even push them together

And to prove that Stan hadn't got clumsy with anything when tightening stuff up, here are the only holes involved, not a mark on 'em.

Calling all plumberists who might have a clue as to how this could have happened.
@brianp38dse etc?

Help, please?
Have you seen the prices of replacements in Frogland? :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
And they really don't do ones wiv the inlet pipe at the bottom.😭😭😭😭

Looks like a stress crack, was it screwed tight back to the wall on the top fixings they should always be slightly loose or put a tap washer under the screw head allows for a bit of movement,
The china shrinks about a third when it is fired so stress can be built in to it, expansion and contraction can just make it go.

Stressed alright with his lard ass on it 🤣🤣

I see those close coupled toilet and cistern sets start at £84.99 at Screwfix. I'd offer to buy one and post it to you but it would probably get broken en route
As you say, cheap as chips in the UK, an arm and a leg in France especially ones with an ilet at the bottom. We'll have to jury rig summat until, we can get back and get another for next season. Bit of a poop as we have quite a few guests this year. more than usual. :( :( :(

Cheers mate, no, not screwed to the wall at all, not even any holes in't porcelain to be able to do that. Has been like it for 15 years, then suddenly went fubar. words escape me!

But thanks for coming on. Even when we aren't here there is minimal heating on to stop anything freezing up.
