When you get to the point that you don't really have to do it, these things get to you more. It then takes away from the enjoyment of the job cos you don't have to really deal with it if you don't want too.

Does that make sense:confused:.

Its a shame cos industry loses skill from years of experience, cos of snotty nosed know it alls that have read a book:rolleyes:.

The big thing is too not let it stress you:).

It makes perfect sense. It is just not worth it to me any more. I like the day to day folk but the time has come to pack it in and enjoy my time!

...today I played "Mill-Boy" and drilled the holes in the plate for the M4 bolts.
The plate was transferred onto the hub-flange and clamped there and the holes were drilled through the flange as well.
Next will be the manufacture of a sort of "spider" to bridge between this plate and a 22T sprocket 10-12mm above the plate but still within the OLD.

I once welded a 5 gear derailier set to a Sturmey Archer, with 3 on the front as well it gave 45 possible selections
Never got to try them all :)

A lovely sunny morning but it is not to last, by 9am the storm conditions will take over - well, that's what we're told.
I hope you all enjoy the shortened week as you go back to work for a rest after completing all those domestic chores. :):):)

UPDATE
The sun's gone, the rain has started and the wind is getting up - so what's new.

Cold snap due for us tomorrow evening
