Never m@de @ silver bullet  but i do h@ve @ re@l one on @ ch@in....
lol @t the Tom Collins sh@ken not stirred :D
Yep the Silver Bullet was a total new one on me!
It turned out to be (if memory serves cos I only ever made it the once) 3 shots of vodka over a typically American lot of ice followed by just a hint of Scotch. The blokey stood over me giving me instructions. He was very happy! ( I was a bit shocked at the triple vodka)!

And yes the only difference between a Gin Fizz and a Tom Collins is that you stir the Gin Fizz like crazy but you do the very opposite with a Tom Collins just trickling the charged water into the glass to keep it sparkling to the end!!!
so you get Barman of the week!!:):):)

Used to have a home base allso so the missu could keep track. What's a reliable small mobile unit these days would come in handy here if it's legal in Croatia we have small radios at the moment but range is not good due to the mountain eny advice ap

Looks like there is a Croatian CB club so you could have a look around

I have this one in my shack ready to go in the Mitzy. It is out of stock at present but as it is European/UK compatible you could use in in Croatia. https://moonrakeronline.com/midland-m-mini-usb-multi-cb-radio

MY Old Landy ....I'm looking for a decent CB for camper, any suggestions please ?
I have a couple of am ones from years ago but suspect they will be obsolete by now :)
I have two of the Midland mini units. They are discrete and are legal limit. I use a 5/8 wave coil loaded aerial (https://moonrakeronline.com/mini-tornado-stinger-cb-mobile-antenna-complete-kit)
I also have a CRT 2m/70cm (as I have a licence) but they also make CBs which are very good but a bit more spendy!

I have a two way hand set but no licence
Would like to use cb over maybe 3 to five miles, going to Ireland touring in 3 weeks so something to play with :)
The cheap ones are good enough for occasional use. They are all 12w max legal limit. The antenna makes the difference. Base loaded or mid loaded give the best results imho.
We use them on laning days and they work well. 3 to 5 miles is about their limit without some propagation :)

I remember sitting in my cab one night listening to some trucker in the states fading in and out , that was in the seventies
Back in the 70's if you had an AM set it would have been 100w and imported from the states or Japan. You can now use AM or FM legally at 12w with no license and even SSB is now legal.
It is just down to power and what you want it to do. Stay legal and you won't have a problem.
