...Got my MRI report just now. :(
Not good, but not a disaster I guess/hope.
Findings:
There is mild straightening of the cervical spine noted.
Degenerative change of the intervertebral discs throughout the cervical spine.
At C3-C4 diffuse disc osteophyte bar with bilateral foraminal narrowing right more than the left with
impingement of the exiting nerve root seen on both sides right more than the left.
At C4-5 diffuse disc osteophyte bar with bilateral foraminal narrowing more severe on the left side with
impingement of the exiting nerve root on both sides, left more than the right.
At C5-6 diffuse disc osteophyte bar with bilateral foraminal narrowing right more than the left with
impingement of the exiting nerve root on the right side.
At C6-C7 diffuse disc osteophyte bar with mild bilateral foraminal narrowing but no involvement of the
exiting nerve roots.
At C6-C7 diffuse disc osteophyte bar with severe bile nerve root seen on both normal signal.
Subtle oedema seen at the posterior aspect C6.
The craniocervical junction is normal in appearance.

So the upshot is that they are throwing "Arthritis" as the cause, but... I have no arthritis anywhere else and they have NOT included the fact that trauma can cause these osteophytes.
I will see what the consultant has to say.

I can't like that Dan, I don't know what can do but I truly hope they can do something!

Glad you have got your results.
You've got a lot of googling to do unless you arlready know what all these technical terms mean.
I've googled quite a few bits of this so will not comment other than to offer yet more sympathy and my hope that now that they know they will find ways to do something about it all. ;)
All the very best mate!:):):)

Many thanks! I think it will come down to a risk/reward equation in the end. :)
