...today's welding has been awful.

I can't see where the weld-pool is forming (the welding helmet needs a new front glass and my eyes are bad); and the gas regulator is making an awful racket and the welding torch is screaming its head off.
I packed it in for the day. Ordered new front lens/glass and came in for a good sulk.:D
That's a shame!:(:(:(:(

Probably best to leave it for a while :)

Me anorl, I was irritable even before I got to work this morning, only took three emails to get me swearing.. I goes in early so's can speak freely :D
Imagine what it is like being a teacher.
Not only can you not swear except in a staff room, maybe, but you spend so long biting your tongue in front of class after class of scrotes that you can barely use it to lick a stamp.
Thank God they aren't all like that.
But boy do you need a sense of yuma.

Ditto when I was a rep.
And in the restaurant trade.

Come to the conclusion that in my working life I must have been a tiny bit of a masochist!!

Mind you lots of jobs like that.

So I sympathise mate!!;):):)

I am not normally grumpy but today it was the wrong day to pick to annoy me

It rained overnight and this morning, so one end of the inside of me garage got a bit wet (half of the roof missing). Went to scroofix first thing and got a few bits n pieces - and a couple of tarpaulins "just in case". And got some more roof work done (and I'm well knackered). More tomorrow :D.

... that I have just heard from my brother that his second marriage has fallen apart. :(
Been with the lady 8 years and married for only just over 2 (I think).
He's 58 with moderately poor health (osteoporosis) and has been running a small but thriving steel fabrication business from their garage at home.
He will probably come out of it all with no home, no significant assets and very little in savings, poor guy. :(

Really can't like that.:(:(
So sorry for him, and you. There is never a right age for this to happen but at 58 ... that's really tough.:(:(
