Flag layer not coming today, he did three rounds in the boxing ring at weekend and won but says he's still sore (he's 53)
Might as well dig some more out ready for the flags, probably could finish it myself now only ten more to lay

Bit of work to do in camper, fix sink in place and set water pump up etc, been looking at swivel seat bases but need a single passenger set with seat belt fitted and they're very expensive
Sun's shining, . good day all
Have to assume you can't get em secondhand/from a breaker or whatever. :(
anyway, have fun!:):)

Seats can be 200 quid from breakers
Think they cashing in on Transit camper trend recently
Don't want leather, plenty of those cheapish
Might have to modify something
Would it be too mad to buy a cheapish leather one and recover it? Or simply put a cover over it?
Or get an ornery seat and mod the base thingy?
(Typical sort of thing I've had to do. Kit cat seats are never straight forward.)
I've even had to modify a driver's seat for an old style Mini. To make it legal.
Making a frame from a bigger one is a relatively easy cut'n'shut. Matching it to the runner, or in your case the swivel thing, has to be decided on early on.
Depends on how handy you or your wifey is with a sewing machine, cos the leather could be used as templates to make a material cover and at least all the rest of the upholstery, cushioning and stuff should stay the same. And presumably you wouldn't be bothered about piping. Can you get material to match the driver's seat, or take it off the original seat?
All good fun and sounds interesting!
Best of luck with it!:):):)

My God!
17,000 thought to be dead in the Turkey/Syria earthquake.:(:(:(
(Don't watch the news much, my bad.:()
How absolutely awful, my heart goes out to the families of all those poor people. :(:(:(
And yet it is almost knocked of the news by all the stoopid gawpers going to the river bank where that woman disappeared recently, for heaven's sake people, get a job and let the plods do theirs!

Ideal seat would be a double (similar to the one I have) but along the lines of Blackpool tram seats where the back flips over so the seat faces either way without spinning it. Then I could put a water tank underneath it

I have thought of two ways of doing that.
The simplest would be to have flat metal bar running from near top of the sides of the seat down to a swivel.hinge on the floor, halfway between the front and the back of the squab, upholstered the same way on both front and back, then you could just push the top of the seat back to the front of the squab. It could be hinged near the top of the seat back and then have a locking mech at the bottom of the back, so you could get the angle of it right. and the bar ould be shorter and therefore less in the way.
Or you could upholster it on just one side but have it flip over so the uholstered side is always facing the passengers' backs. You may need some sort of a slide mech for that. And of course the whole thing would have to fit in with safety regs but that is usually just a simple sort of lock mech.
You may also need a bar running through the seat back connected at both ends to the flat metal bars. To give it rigidity.
The problem with this set up is that it may not be very comfortable for travelling a long way. Tram seats were never intended to be sat on for hours on end! Which is prolly the reason why swivel seats were invented!
