...I had some time in the workshop today. :D
I tinkered with some tube so that 28x12x8mm bearing would fit inside it.

Then I worked on the axle half-shafts so that the bearings would in fact be a slip-fit and not jam up on the metal bar. This means the half-shafts will be removable and bearings can be replaced as needed.
A good result I feel. :)

Late afternoon all!
W and I bottled all the marmalade today 21 jars (it was 3 kgs not 6.)
Anyway, put whisky in the last 5 jars.
Set properly and quickly. Looking forward to having some on me toast!:):):)
I mucked around making yet more cuts and mitre cuts on tiles. Made a couple of boo boos, then ended it all by kicking over the bucket with a couple of inches of water that I had just prepared to dip my notched spreader into between uses.:mad:
Swore a lot and W helped me mop it all up.;)
This is due to working in a confined space (and my hurrying to get a bit of sticking of tiles on the wall actually done) but is yet another first.
so gave up in disgust and we decided to start Friday night aperitifs early.;):D:D:D
Oh and when the groceries were delivered among them was a single carrot. We put all the stuff on a trolley and wheeled it into the kitchen so we could both put it away, W does the fridge, I do the rest.
At the end, no carrot!
Ruddy dog(s) must have snaffled it!:(
Yet another first!
you live and (continue to) learn.;)
Have a lovely evening folks!!!:):):)
