We've been splashing out on home improvements too. Xylia bought a new toilet seat and I've just put it on:

There wasn't anything wrong with the old one - in fact it feels like we've not had it long but Xylia felt it was getting discoloured. Must Hoover the floor in there - as we both tend to wear black clothes there's a lot of black coloured fluff builds up on the bathroom floor.
Not wood = not luxury!!!;););)

and i assumed the fluff came from the cat or the dog!!!:D:D:D

....this isn't going to end well.
She is on about a new kitchen. Just won't let it go.
I know its about £20k and I don't see the point at all. It won't improve our life or health in any way, it will just look nicer.
It won't add function and the current layout is the optimum for the 4 doors in the kitchen.
It has caused raised temperatures and voices and I have said "do what you want as long as you are paying for it, because I am not."
Bonkers! o_O
She is just like her insane mother, gets an idea in her head and just won't let it go. Totally unreasonable to the point of getting all sulky. Grrrrrrr.
Tell her to upcycle it.

That's just the way I feel but the dogs have a different plan - everyday is a new and exciting venture for them.

I feel slightly admonished. Course I got up! There's a bit of heath near where we've been and it's scruffy and proper terrier, Fuzzybutt loves it and we really enjoy the quiet time without Mum fussing. Quiet whistle and hand signals, I love being out with her when it's peaceful.

Evening folks:).

We have been rather MIA last couple of days cos both been a little crook (ill not out thieving:rolleyes:).
We had a fine chrimbo but then M came down with something then me the next day, so the last couple of days its been painkillers and early nights. We thought about canceling our new years eve night in the big town, but both showed improvement so its still on :D.

So we is off tomorrow noon time for a party, well as much as we can manage that will allow us to be awake at midnight:D. Hoping it will be back to pre covid type:D.

Glad to see on the whole everybody is doing fine (ish);).

My missus is always complaining about something she thinks.we need that we dont have. Ive managed to put a.stop to it though. Ive told her I want a fully grown male lion. I found.one for sale in Pakistan $10,000 plus.associated.costs. I enquired about all the necessary permits.and wild animal license, found a vet.who could treat it if necessary and a.reliable and affordable food source. She, rather selfishly said no. Her arguments against it were, quite frankly, weak. Now.whenever she says we need a new kitchen etc, I say yes if I can have my lion. Kills the subject dead. My lion would be cheaper than your £24k kitchen.

Morning All. :D
I think my darling "Scratchy" cat is on her way out.
She is very subdued and not eating as much as usual.
The vet said her kidneys were infected and gave us some strong penicillin tablets to force down her (traumatic for all concerned).
No sign of a Pee or a Poo for 2 days.
Last night she asked to come into the bedroom and slept on me and gave me lots of loves. :)
I feel very sad. I know how this ends and I don't like it one bit.
She will be my last ever cat I think. :(
Anyway, have a good day everyone. :D

so bloody he@rt bre@king :(:(:(

That is the decision that we came to too but I found it very hard to realise that at the rate my husband's health was deteriorating I was going to be left with an empty house - and life, as I was the chief dog-carer. The decision was reversed and I cannot describe how grateful I am that it was. Without the dogs and their routine needs then I think I would have just given up when Bernard died, suddenly but not unexpectedly. :(

i find @ house is not @ home without pets. :)
@t le@st you @lw@ys get @ w@rm welcome. :):)
