You used to be able to get sausages that were designed to be boiled - 'boiling rings' they were called, because the sausage was usually sold in a C shape with metal clips on the ends. I don't think you were supposed to eat the metal bits.

When I was younger I used to like cooking big dinners and getting loads of people to eat them. I used to make big pots of lasagne or other kinds of pasta baked in the oven with cheese on top. Catering sized tubs of curry were a speciality too. If you cook large quantities it sometimes turns out better than if you only do small amounts. As I've got older I've dropped most of my social life and haven't eaten with friends for ages. It's just me and Xylia.

We thought of that. My Old Landy has been perfecting signal jamming under the guise of radio hamming. Party on :D:D:D

Interesting about the boiling bangers!!
Shame about the big dinners, maybe once you retire you'll refind your taste for them!!!;):):)

These last few years it's just seemed easier to sit at the computer and get a few more emails answered or a few more pieces of student work marked of an evening. Plus with the sort of life I've led lately, if I were to do more socialising I'd end up doing so with university lecturers and (with all due respect to my colleagues) I don't always find them terribly appetising company. Especially after having spent my day in online committee meetings with them.

I too found that the world of education limited one's socialising, until I started my kit car club.
That kept me sane!
My daughter is knee deep in marking 3000 word essays.
Sh!t I don't miss it!!;)
