...went to A & E and spent a delightful 4 and a bit hours with them. :)
Upshot..... They cannot account for the pain (or its sudden increase today) other than to suggest it is muscular/skeletal.
But.... they suggest I go ahead with the planned Ultrasound scan next Tuesday as it will give a greater level of detail.
I am grateful for the attention but disappointed that I am no further forward in tracking down the source of the pain and eliminating it.
Ho-Hum. I am of the generation that just "grin's & bear's it" and it is only my wife's insistence on me getting it looked at because she is tired of me grunting and gasping when the pain strikes.
Other than all this it has been a great day. Honest!! :D

Don't let them fob you off
They told me I had ulcers, 14 years of on and off pain, many tests and a consultant who wouldn't listen
Wanted to cut me open, six months healing then six months light duties
They eventually decided it was all in my head
