It's not the amount paid that's the issue, more the fact it seems the deduction appears to be more than 100% ie if it wasn't for the annual bonus, I'd be paying them :eek:
That has got to be a feck up.
Go and kick the accountant's door.
I once worked for a company whose company secretary couldn't count unless he took his shoes and socks off.

I think a lot of companies are cutting back on the length of time they are willing to provide sick pay. As said, it should be in the contract of employment. Good companies have a proviso saying extended sick pay will be paid at the discretion of management. This is to stop lead swingers and provide additional support to favoured staff.

I have been very lucky it seems. I got a contractual 10 weeks full pay plus another 4 weeks as a token gesture. I refused ssp so now I get whatever hours I work (approx 5 hours a week) plus any extra. I have never had a deduction for unpaid sick!!
