On the HF frequencies using propagation I should be able to get most of Europe and the east coast of America. I have ordered a 7m vertical antenna and with that on the side of the house I hope to get out ok.
It is called QRP and it is quite popular with folk to see how far they can get. I have started my studies for the next licence which will give me 50w :)


Can you transmit on cb frequencies? I was listening to a chap in the summer talking to someone and the chap said he was 4 miles from Gatwick. I take it he had a good base station/aerial. I couldn’t hear the chap he was talking to though. Also listened to a chap in Cork one day.

I can as it is licence free and my radio can only produce 10w the same as CB :)
 
It has finally arrived :D sadly it is a knock off of the real thing and will be going back :(
Actually that is the vector network analyser not the spectrum analyser...... but it is still a knock off!
