So if you buy stuff in rather than building it yourself, where do the leaks come from? The connections?
Yes it is normally poor connections etc. As a foundation licence holder I cannot build a transmitter but I can build an aerial. This is where the problems can begin! I have opted to buy everything and wait for the next licence to start messing with building stuff :)

Very interesting.
An awful lot of this seems to be "on your honour" like peeps resisting building their own stuff when they are not supposed to. :)

Only if its the cheap polly-stye-reen type. Proper Plaster/Gyproc don't do that. ;)
Me dad covered all the ceilings downstairs and above the stairs wiv polystyreen when eye were a nipper. Bort too much glue so used up as much as he could on the tiles. Many years later when eye tried to gerrit all down eye had ter plaster the ceiling as the glue was rock ard and wouldn't sand oft. Chipping it oft took part of the ceiling wivvit. He put them up as he fort he'd never have ter paint the ceiling again.
