Just watched the Wheeler Dealers on the Bedford CA camper where they stuck a Pinto in it.
They said that Pintos are hard to find and expensive. With the thousands that must have been around?
Well, I've got various bits of Pintos around, from whole engines to heads and gearboxes.
Maybe I should "out" a few!!;);) One thing he did say was that "Kit car builders like them" never a truer word said!;););)

Right then have you got a pinto 205 block/bottom end or full engine for me. :D
What gboxes you got to go with it. ;)

Can't tell what you mean. 205?
I have a full 2 litre engine, (block and head minus the flywheel), a spare head, a spare 4 speed gearbox and in the kit car a tooned 2 litre with a Sierra 5 speed.
But none of it is moving as I have targets for all of it. ;)

wow! never looked at the side of the block and saw any numbers. The one in the kit car is fitted with both manifolds on. Ditto the spare which is sat in a trailer .
both came out of 2 litre Cortinas if that helps. One from a Crusader the other from a MkIV "S".
The numbers could well be there and I just never looked.
Am seriously asking myself why I don't know this as I have rebuilt the engine that is in the kit from top to bottom, and painted it, obvs!

No it doesnt matter what it came out of, the 205 block is 2k heavier than the others it has a thicker block
thicker main bearing caps so safer to bore out to 93mm ;)
