Can't say I've timed it, but pretty quick. Maybe not .1 of a sec. If tickover is a bit too high the blade might chunter on a little bit. This sometimes happens after you have started it and are waiting for it to warm up. But once running proper as soon as I relax the throttle the blade comes to a stop. But yes, cannot say for sure how quick.@Stanleysteamer

Of course you have the safety thing with the lever in front of your wrist which stops the chain as soon as it is touched. No matter what speed the chain is whizzing round at. To save you in a "kick back" situation. Hopefully!
I haven't opened the box yet but i can see this safety lever thing on the pic on the box, which I am sure is a legal thing cos you need it.
