Course, herself is always on the lookout for free wud an i has a shirt load of crates to knock into kindlin this weekend. We do alright, kinda happy we has no gsh tbh.

Yer we dont either, multi fuel stove with a back boiler, propane for my cooker with 2 ovens :D
got 3 full bottles that will last well over a year. I get cheap bottles off a mate who delivers it
I mostly give them to my older neebs & keep what I will use. :)
 
.....that I wonder why Women Pi$$ and Moan that vacuum cleaners are not working properly and then when you take a look at them you find that they are packed solid with dirt and have never been emptied.
Even though the dirt is visibly twice as high as the "MAX" mark on the sight-glass area and all the internals of the pipes are packed solid.
Then, when you bring this simple fact to their attention you get a lecture about "not doing your share of the housework".
For goodness sake I empty the thing after every time I use it, why can't she? :mad:
Be fort full and empty it for her so she can use it to keep busy when yer resting.

Same cause, thermal trip. I think its the pump not running. :(
Fancy new pump with a "sensing" feature to minimise its running (switches itself off and on).
I will set it to manual mode "Hi" instead of "Auto", see if it makes a difference. :)

Sounds like a typical "step forward" (step backward) with modern tech.
It can be illuminating to have a temp gauge on the pipe going into the boiler and the one going out.
We have this on the system for solar heating our hot water in Frogland which enabled me to see which speed was best to set the pump at. No point in returning water at too high a temp back to the solar panel.;)
But of course it meant having a three speed pump. ;)
But it switching itself completely off doesn't seem good. Shouldn't it just switch it off if it thinks you don't need the hot water any more? (i.e. the hot water to heat the rads and hot water in the tank, if you have a tank? And then switch itself back on once the temp has dropped?

In auto the pump changes output pressure according to heating demand, you should also be able to select constant pressure or constant speed.
Or summink like that..

Indeed, I have observed it switching itself on & off during the boiler running/firing independent of the external timers, stats and switchgear.
I shall set it to manual and see what happens then. :)

Our solar wata has a controller that turns the pump on/off depending on temp in the panels so it is not running all the time but it will not pump if the water in the tank is more than the panels;), The controller will also pump if the temp gets into minus numbers in the winter, which uses heat in the tank to put a little warm in the panels to make sure they don't freeze. Its a clever box of tricks:).
