... that with some 12mm plywood and some foam pipe-lagging I have made a draught excluder for the chimney in my unused bedroom fireplace. :)
Not only has it stopped the draught completely, I can no longer hear the "street-sounds" coming back down the chimney.
My plan is to open it 1 day a month to keep the chimney aired/dry; but the rest of the time it can stay closed and all the expensive heat will not be just making its way out of the house through the chimney.
It is big enough as a panel to fit a small adjustable hit & miss vent should I choose to do so. :D
