Afternoon folks:).

Well got to work in the pool by 8:30 this morning:eek:, Not like me to start early but its a needs must, By 11 I was done and getting roasted:).
Bit more tomorrow then add some water:D to it.

Went too a little village gathering on Sunday at our little chapel we were invited by the guy organizing it, something to do with having a good/prosperous/healthy year;). Little bit of music and a cup of soup with bread. Nice to see all the oldies being looked after:) I don't know if they still consider us the mad Brits but they certainly seem to accept us:).

It was nice to see the couple of youngsters playing the traditional instruments.

Well, if this is a hot day, I'm disappointed. It's overcast here in the midlands; mild enough to be comfortable outdoors in short sleeves but that's about it. Similar for my place in Wales too, judging by the forecast.
Just had my appraisal at work. Looks like I'm safe for another six months. Some people are being earmarked for redundancy.

Late today as the lappy is under attack. So I can't use it.
Which is a sh1t as we need some stuff off it for the return journey.
Still there are places that will fix it as we all know. For a fee:(:(:(

Off to the toon to see a doc for scrip for W as she has run out of summat.
So done feck all today except try to work around the issues.
If I could get hold of the sh1ts who do this.........:mad::mad:.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

I have been in shorts and what could loosely described as a shirt for a while:) when working outside.

I can remember those stupid appraisals, I refused to sign 1 once telling the appraiser it was him that had the problem, fast forward 15yrs and I was his equal in a different company (similar as alot of same peeps) :). When it all went to turds, they called me back not him:D.

I have always said if you do your job well and don't BS your way then there is always work.

Well, there will be a time when I want to go, so I can potter about building a house and planting vegetables whilst I'm still hale and hearty enough to enjoy doing so. But it's better to do so at a moment of one's own choosing. A few more years pension build-up would be nice. Finding work has never been too much of a problem for me - there are always people asking me to do stuff. But at the moment I'm in a position where I can actually use some of the experience gained in 35 years of working life and get paid a half decent salary for it. I'm a bit old to go back to the gig economy!
