Morning All :D
A very Sunny 9° here. :)
We were both lying awake @3AM and I said to her... "we didn't cut the braising steak for tomorrows dinner up and put it in red-wine".
She replied....."Oh, and I left the tumble drying in the dryer".
5 minutes later she's downstairs, the dryers on (de-creasing) and the meats being chopped up.
Back to bed and finally we drifted off. Nice lie-in this morning. :D

I have been making swarf in the workshop :D

Afternoon folks:).

Just back from a nice lunch out in the hotel deep in the forest, its so nice to sit outside and eat:D.
Must resist sitting in a soft comfy seat otherwise it will be "full belly nap time":D.

Been a busy week and the sun has been out for most of it.
Lid off the pool and got it emptied to do some deep clean as we suffered a bit from algae last year and has shown itself between the tiles over winter, and some other work, have to stick back on a few tiles also as we are changing the steps need to pull the raw lugs and fill those oles with tiles.
So that should take care of next weeks work:).

If you want to find it, you'll have to suck it up or clean the engine and do one section at a time ...
The 'trick' also works for oil leaks etc ...
I think I have narrowed it down to the waterpump mount. There is a cast block that both the water pump ( sorry "coolant") is fit to along with the power steering pump. This is driven by the fan belt (sorry "auxiliary belt") so it goes fan belt PS pump which then drives the water pump.
I don't THINK it's the water pump or its housing but it is so feckin difficult to see I cannot be sure. Whichever it is I'll have to take off the centrifugal oil filter and, according to Haynes, but not RAVE, the turbo.
But before I do any of this I need to identify the seals and gaskets for everything to be sure of curing the leak.
For the mo I'm gonna see what the French equivalent of K-seal is and put it in bit by bit until the leak stops but not enough to feck up the thermostat. i don't reckon I'll be able to identify the parts I need this side of the channel, so it'll have to wait until I am in blighty. The coolant I can see isn't just "traces of" or dried. it is actual liquid and is dripping off a biolt on the bottom of a mounting and also in the trough between the mounting and the block. Hence my reasons for thinking what it might be.
Only bloody LR would think it's a good thing to NOT mount the pump housing directly to the block. I had the famous P gasket (Wpump housing to block) go on the 300tdi and it was a piece of pistachio to change!:mad::mad:

Is watter expensive in your neck of the woods?
Cos we'd think twice about emptying and refilling ours. Not to mention the fact that all water metering then assumes it goes down the loo and then needs tweetment. So they charge for that too!!

Nope none of all that additional crap.
1.8Lv a cube +20% but still less than a pound a cube. so around 80quid to fill. I am sure some pay that much a month in the UK just to wash and ****:eek:.
We sort of average a 4quid/mth ish water bill:p. Depends if the cement mixer is in need:D

Septic tanks with walnuts trees next to them takes care of a lot of water outlet:eek:.

When we were having our place built they gave us the choice of a classic septic tank with an outfall, (is that the right word?) or one that then fed into the drains. (Apparently the sewage treatment centre isn't man enough to do the whole job.:mad:)
The second option was a bit cheaper and we weren't really sure we wanted the outfall as we were going to plant an orchard just below it and didn't want to have to faff about not hitting the outfall pipes etc.
So we are on the other one. BUT we never took into consideration the cost of treatment being added to the water bill.
Have to say it isn't huge, but it does feck us off that they have very little to do AND they get the watter back but we have to pay for it!!!
I'd have to look at our bills to tell you the price per cube, but I've just been given orders to help feed the hens and then help with our own dins!!!;)

We have left our old original tanks in place (3) as I knew they would be leaky;):). The 3rd will be used when the bathroom is finished in the "east wing" but only for "grey water" .

Feeding the Orchard with all those nutrients, you missed that 1:oops:.
As much as you use the place a tank with out fall would have worked better for you I would have thought.

Enjoy dins:).

No, @My Old Landy is not allowed, he has to fink of his BP:(:D.

Got to be some more interesting than just a mess:eek::D. Somefink for his new toolpost grinder maybe?:).

J
You are correct in I am not allowed chips, I have been eating fruit :(
It is actually something for work  I know, I am not all there lol :p
They are brackets to hold a test piece in an environment chamber. I will post pics of the final things when they get finished

Dins was lovely thanks, although W mistimed it a bit as she forgot the rice still needed to cook, so I ended up making a "beurre manié" to make sure the creme fraiche sauce didn't separate. Messy thing to have to do!
I agree, I am sure a tank with outfall would have been better. We have friends who also don't spend all their time here. There's has an outfall and they have no trouble with it at all.
3 septic tanks!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:
How the feck was that necessary?
Did you buy an old monastery or summat?;)
