That I just had a lovely scam call in english text-to-speech warning me that if I did not respond my N.I. Number would be revoked.
Press 1 to speak to an officer...... So I pressed 1 and guess who answered?
Yup "Abu Scamranjani" from his call centre somewhere.
I just suggested he try scamming someone else and kept laughing at him every time he uttered his sincere desire to help me avoid severe penalties.
For some reason, he hung up on me.

I love keeping the "Hello, this is John from Microsoft. There's a problem with your PC" ones on for as long as I can.

Not raining but very mild - the day and night temps are almost equal!
Housework day today as my floors are looking like an extension of the garden courtesy of all the leaves, hedge trimmings etc brought in by the dogs. All the bits stick to them and then they spend the evenings pulling them all out and depositing them on the floor before falling asleep leaving me to do the clearing up.
Still mourning the probable loss of my overlocker. :( Do I do without or do I buy another is the question going through my mind.
Saturday has finally arrived so make the most of it and enjoy life to the full.:):):)
So sorry to hear about the overlocker. Is it really RIP? If so i am sure you are really going through whether you really need one in your mind. If it was me, and i know you aren't much like me!!, I'd take it back off the bloke and just soak it for ages in the mix i mentioned and give it a wiggle every day until it finally started to move, then once it was a bit freed off I'd give it back to blokey and ask him to give it another dose of looking at.
Lord knows what they cost now, but I can't see them being cheap. Just had a look. aldi doing one for £150, but they do go right up in price.
:(:(:(:(

That is my plan! I will just wait until he rings me to see if his soak has freed it and if not I will do exactly what you suggest. :)

The equivalent to mine is now £799 but that is very much only in the mid -range of what's available. They have developed 'air-threading' now ( £0000's ) and that must be wonderful as threading a four or five thread one is a bit of a nightmare. I do it the lazy way and knot the new thread on to the old and then pull it through the 'cogs' before removing the knot and then threading the needles. Even doing it this way, a 'bent' pair of tweezers (supplied) has to be used to get to them 'cos the loopers are in the way.

After using an overlocker and getting used to its value 'sewingwise', I do not think I could do without one even though I do not do as much sewing as I used to.:( But things might change as I do have more time available now.

We can only wish you the best of luck with all of this.:):):):):)

were meant to be wooden anyway. Tis really pizzin me off now.:(

Been on phone to flux insurance ffs what a rip off bunch gits policy was 509 sovs more than double
so they reduced in by 55 quid but if I pay it up the total cost is 618 or more I wasnt really listening
after that lol basically it cause I done 10k & the policy was for 5k & ive had a bump but still no outcome
as the claim is against the insurance company not me. They say that if it turns out im not at fault I will
be refunded the difference....fk me I just seen a pink effalump flying by  Can you imagine trying to get
anything back haha what a joke. I have just amended my quotes on gocompare for a higher 10k miles
added my driving licence number said the claim was my fault & it worked out cheaper than before o_O

Done very nearly nuffin today.
Just started trying to work out what I need to do to wire/plug in my old head unit from my Anniversary Disco 1 into my disco 2 which, until the tape jammed, had a Kenwood jobbie in it.
The ISO blocks look un-interfered with but I don't know if I dare just shove em in hoping that going from LR HU to another LR HU would be safe or not.
Tried to follow the wiring diags on RAVE but obvs they are for the NAS thing and I do not know which radio I have got although I am fairly sure.
Frankly I get so bored and mind-fecked by electrickery that I suffer a "helmet fire" (NOOO. Don't go there, think jet-fighter pilot instead) in no time at all. How DO peeps get on with all this? Give me a piece of French philosophy to translate ANY time!
And obvs I don't know what type of head unit was in the D2 originally.
It still beats the sh!t out of me that I put the Blaupunkt headunit and CD player in the D1 without doing anything to the plugs on the back except reconnecting the CD player, using the original cables, in the middle, to save having to take the interior apart to do it.
I think I must have just naively plugged the ISOs in and miraculously it all worked, except the steering wheel controls obviously as there was no hole to shove that plug in, And the subs, btw.
One way to do it, which would be a bit laborious, would be to take the tarp off the D1, climb in, take the Blaupunkt out
:)mad::rolleyes:) then write down the colours and locations of all the wires on the plugs. Then go back to the D2 to see if the wiring is the same or if not how to make it the same!!
Wot also fecks me off is I feel so lazy about all this. This is actually all part of getting old. I really do suffer unbelievably with CBAsseditis, and prevaricationitis.
GRRRR! I really do need to take myself in hand!!!:(:(:(:(
