Am finking of gerrin a garden rake. Eye have been looking at wix and they sell stainless steel ones. Some plastic or aluminiminum anorl. Which type should eye get? The fan type or the bar wiv teef?

Eye assume the fan type is fer leefs and the bar type wiv teef is more for moving light soil?

Eye has some leef's ont me grass. Eye would normally use me mover to collect em up but he's not been feeling well of late. Or should eye leave the leef's ont me grass and let nature sort it herself?

I find the fan type a bit "weak" and unable to "lift" heavy leaf-fall or rake it along. Horses for courses I guess. :)

The fan is just for 'gathering' - leaves are a good example if you don't have a lot. The 'teefy' one is for doing the soil work. I always get quality ones but then they do get a lot of use 'ere.
Collecting leaves with the mower is a good idea, especially if you don't have them by the ton. Mt garden is already ankle deep in oak leaves but I am not rushing to remove them because fewer than a third of them have descended so far. I have a large Stihl leaf blower/sucker because I do have mountains of leaves to contend with. It is not a good idea to leave them to rot on the grass as they do not do it any good, but I am not rushing out to collect leaves as I am a firm believer in letting the wind get to work first and then it is less effort for me to just collect the wind-assembled piles. :)

Been a busy day, the Mrs and I moved 1 tonne of roadstone and spread it for a substrate for the new shed. Not finished yet but it was a lot of effort!
One tonne of type 1 later.jpg

Bin a nice day ere. Weather fine and quite warm.
But boy did it get chilly when the sun went down and I went to scroofix!:(
Started with moving the blanket box outside for it to be picked up. The blokes came and waltzed off with it, they'd got it on the van when I hailed them and asked if they wanted a signature. apparently not.
Wifey's Pluriel went through its MOT with flying colours, which was nice!:)
Spent the hour chatting with the guy who owns the place, ,
https://www.andysaunders.net/cars/
I've known him for donkey's years, turns out his girlfriend is wanting to by a Porsche Speedster copy, like Wifey's. He's known the car for ever and was the one who tried to change the clutch on its autoshift box. So he knows we are looking to sell. So, hopefully once she has the dosh (inheritance coming through) we may be getting shot of it.
With all the cars he's done he isn't scared of something out of the ordinary and in fact he is now writing a book which will be very interesting.
Spent rest of the day scraping stuff off the utility room wall to leave a smooth surface, then filling in the holes, not many thankfully.
Had a protracted conversation with Wifey about positioning of electric plugs. Protracted because she isn't very good at listening and concentrating. Never known someone who goes off track quite as quickly, for no apparent reason,. Not even me!!!;););)
Rogan Josh for dins! Looking forward to it.
Have a good evening peeps!:):):)

....today my lad's Kickstarter was revealed to his YouTube subscribers.
And he also revealed to his subscribers that he is one of a very tiny number of people worldwide that has been part of the steering committee for the game and has been under a non-disclosure with Microsoft and was out there in Redmond with the people that matter.
Here is his intro "teaser" to the Book he has commissioned/created all about the X-Box and its games that is his "Kickstarter" project.
I am a humbled and very proud Dad. Yes, it isn't a cure for cancer... but my boy did this and is chasing his dream while also holding down a boring sales job and raising a family.

That certainly is an achievement to be proud of!
