The front grill on the defender has broken fixings typical of tired plastics. I have seen the adventure grill for £75, just not sure if it’s too modern - thoughts?

Evening folks:).

Well not much news really to report, we live a quiet retyred life:). Will be speaking with Mum & Dad tonight so will get an update on Bruv. Then perhaps decide on my travel plans.
Son has tested twice now negative (home kits) so maybe Grandson didnt pass it on. Have found out Son seems to be a little antivaxer although he says hes not, he doesn't plan on getting the Jab ( wish I was there too slap him:eek:) But will have to chat with him and try turn him around:(.

Been a lovely day here still managing to work outside and work up a sweat:eek:.

Good news that..
Poor young woman down ere died four days after contracting, on the day she was due to get her first jab too.

O'dear thats very sad. Poor family. My mate's wife works in ICU & has been dealing with covid
patient's she has seen from the very fit and healthy passing to very ill people walking out.
(sorry all should have posted in the relevant thread)

Quite, which is why I am rather peed off that Wifey wants to go and sit in a theatre, watch a play then come home and breathe near me.:(:(:(.
AND I've recently discovered from an old newspaper (last year's) that bald blokes like me suffer worse than ones who aren't something to do with having higher testosterone levels.
See this little lot!:(:(:(:(:(

See post 57927, an tell I'm fink he's a dozey bugger :)

Well the day has been different. The fascia soffit guys turned up at about 9:30 and have been working away ever since.
Very pleased to report no, or very little damage to the ends of the trusses so the new stuff is going on quick as you like. The Swedish pine they made them out of must have been that slowgrowing stuff someone mentioned on another thread. At this rate they'll be gone in another day or two's time, prolly 1 1/2.
My other pooter has packed up due to the power supply cable giving up the ghost. There seems to be a break in the wire near the plug into the pooter. The transformer shows a light. But no juice at the small plug, or little flickers on my meter, but just once I got about 12V, for a second as I moved the cable around.
Whatever, I'll have to get a new one.:(:(
Got a bit concerned this morn as a good friend of mine emailed me to say he was very sick.
so I replied, as you'd expect, then he got back onto me to.....well to cut a long story short, it's a scam.
Big relief matey isn't ill!
Just thinking up how to stick it to the scammer.
Think I'll tell him I am short of funds, but if he gives me his bank details he can wire me some money. To pay for the spurious items he is asking me to get for him. In France. (The mate he piggy-backed knows we are in the UK!)
I will of course not divulge any real bank details etc. How about giving him my sh!tty neighbour's address?
Blast, forgotten their surname.!
All good fun!

:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Just remembered I promised Wifey I'd clear up the study this arvo while she is with her cronies, sewing. Idiot that I am !
Enjoy the rest of the day folks.:):):):)

Got pics of the job.

The fool sitch seems to be easin. Passed a coupla stations onna way ome that had juice an no kews. Will run the air dryer tomoz and try me luck.

Any news @My Old Landy ?

An where the hell is the Shimster?
Not yet, they failed to phone me and failed to take my call. I did hear from the vendors agent and apparently he has not fulfilled his duties as described in the contract so they won't exchange.
This thing is dragging on and taking its toll on us, stupid process and people!
Rant over :) thanks for asking :D
