Well this morning, at 8 a.m. we get the door knocked, two trucks, two blokes, "We've come to do your scaffolding!"
Hmmmmm!!!!!
Anyway, decent blokes so got dressed rapido and moved two vehicles off the drive so they could get on with it.
They said how Covid was affecting them in that the younger one couldn't get his new licence to drive a small truck like what we old peeps can, due to the fecking DVLA . So he had to keep on driving his pick-up with a load weight of only a ton. That ain't many big scaffold poles.
Anyway, the day started dry and sunny then went well down hill, huge rain, etc.
Took dog to vet. He agreed to simply take out what he thinks is a fatty lump and not bother with all the expensive feckin around/tests etc. Can't do it till the 12th,
, and that is his "only slot for ages".
Went to pick up Wifey's auction stuff, she'd watched it on line and bought two things after it ended that no one else had wanted. When you do that you pay £20 plus commission. But when we got there we discovered a Victorian chair she had bought like this was impossibly low! Of course she hadn't been able to see this from the on line pic and hadn't been interested in it when we went to view!
So she put it straight back in. What's the betting it don't sell next time either!
Made a tiny bit more progress prepping the utility room walls for the new tiles and working out how I'm going to fit the new window-ledge.
Anyway, happy diesel hunting folks and isn't it nice to see
@Bobsticle back with us, eh?
