Morning All :D
Its err.. cool enough for the CH to have come on this morning
My Sister will be visiting this W/E so you won't see so much of me on here. :)
The beggar next door has a second digger on site now and this one beeps every time the damned thing is put in reverse.:(
Nerves are getting frayed and words may get spoken. This is a bit much, we know the work has to be done, but over the BH and with loud beeping every minute?
Have a good day everyone.:D

One word...

Sabotage :D

Yup I do replace them when my bollocks hang out usually the right one first as its the bigger brother.
Tis dam cold when out in the boats in winter, plus when im up the hills & snowboarding being warm is at the top of the list. ;)
Hoots mon!
So you must have shares in Damart then!
Bet you don't wear them wiv your kilt!
I have heard of plods on the beat in cold weather wearing tights, so if they can get away with it, why not!?:D:D:D

I am a little bit "miffed".
I bought a brand new pressure-washer to clean off the scaffold-boards that now cover the feature wall of the mini barn.
So I have used it just the once and it did a brilliant job!
I have been pestered for weeks to lend it to my son so he can clean his block paved driveway and I have been rather resistant because he is a total Klutz.
Yesterday I relented and took it over there and connected it up, purged it and turned it on.
I did a couple of yards of the drive to show him how it was just point & shoot.
His mate arrived while I was there and I could tell he was just itching to STOP soI left it with him to get on with it. I texted him later to ask how it had all turned out.
I got a call back to say "Dad, I don't now how to tell you this but I stopped to chat to my mate just after you left and when I tried to restart it wouldn't work at all. Its "broken" and just doesn't work anymore.
The mind boggles. Me using it 8 hours on my job..No problems. Him using it for less than and hour and its phucked.:mad::mad: How?
He has offered to buy a replacement at least. But, I think it will be the last "loaned item" he sees from me. :(

Well here is one for animal owners.
got up this am and found a little bit of pain in the sole of my right foot, just behind the little toe.
I examined my sandal, couldn't see anything , felt around the foot couldn't see anything.
Put the sandal back on, still hurt.
So I got Wifey to have a good look. She eventually said "You've got a hair growing there!"
What TF!!!???
So I found a pair of tweezers, she managed to pull a bit of it out, it was very fine and white, I pointed out there was no root to it, so she had another look and tried to get the rest out, she couldn't!:(
So not believing that hairs could grow out of your sole I went online to find that "hair slivers" in the foot are a fairly common hazard in various occupations including hairdressers and dog groomers, and that anyone with dogs should be careful of them. And apparently wearing socks makes it worse!
See this!

Our youngest dog has very fine white hair, it must have come from her and I have been wearing socks more than usual due to another problem with my other foot.
Just cannot catch a break this year!:(:(:(

Yup! MY friend had a dog and this happened to him a lot and the dog-hair is coarse and works its way in like it is barbed and 1-way. Can be a real beggar to get back out. Ouch!

I don't like Damart on principle.
They prey on the elderly far too much with lots of "promotions" telling them they are a "gold" customer and therefore qualify for.... etc. etc. Buy now.
They are almost (but not quite) as bad as Domestic & General who prey on peoples fears that their domestic appliances will go "pop" at any moment and for only £30/Month etc. etc.
£30 x 12 = £360 enough for either a new washer/dishwasher or freezer every year. Scandalous.

Just been up to the MIL's because...... "All my lights are out".
Wife says "Call Rick" (wifes brother and MIL's totally useless prick son).
He comes back with "can't have the wife's car till this afternoon".
So we go up there and yes lighting circuit has tripped, because a bulb has popped in a wall light.
Popped so much that the glass envelope is hanging loose on its wires in the fitting.
I have left that task for him to resolve when he goes there for his free dinner tomorrow.

Couldn't agree more.

The big machines are all weighed now :) the lathe came in at 437 kgs, a lot lighter than I thought. It will be shipped complete as it is a right pain to take it apart!
I can finally see a little light at the end of the tunnel, I think another week and the workshop will only have the things in it that are coming with us :D

Can't say as I have to remark that I don't patronise either.
Insurance for white goods is like the feckin extended warranties they flog. A bloke I knew who used to work in somewhere like Comet used to joke, "Ok here is your extended warranty, now what piece of equipment would you like to go with that?" and I think they get commission for every one they flog.
Ditto guarantees that come with white goods. They are sh!t.
Rely on the Consumer Rights Act. Never lost a case yet using this and its predecessor, the Sale of Goods Act.
