Those old main baulk timbers are impressive. Are they sound? They look more substantial than railway sleepers...but longer.
Are you going to bolt soldier-joists onto the old stuff you "cut back to good" and run the soldiers through to restore the deck/verandah?

Baulk is rotten:(, 2 steel beams coming on Thursday to replace it & 10 of 10x2 cyberian larch joists to
bolt on & tie into the beams. ;)

I had a version of one of those, a citroen ami, was a good car until some burd in a hillman imp ran in to the back of it at Luss. It was a frosty morning and she hadn't bothered to scrape her windscreen. My ami got a bit crunched but her imp ended up quite a bit shorter :rolleyes:.

Funny things, roll like a boat and you drive them with your foot flat to the floor.
I drove a 2CV once, in France, belonged to alovely Burd called Blondine!!!:eek::eek::eek:
And my Bro had an AMI 8 which was fine!:D:D:D
