Bronze green. Loverly colour.

Found out there is a vintage/WW event on the street where the church is so 2 series 1s won't look out of place & bride/groom asked if we can drive some byways on the way to reception.
There will be photos uploaded ;)

The missus' Nissan X-Trail just passed MOT, no advisories, but suggested she swap front for rear tyres ... I was thinking it shouldn't pass and we needed new ones .. :)

So that's me getting a new set then ... Maxxis Creepy Crawlies I think, if I can get them. Heard very good things about these.

Mind, at double the price of my current Malatestas, I might do a Yorkshireman and carry on with what I have, just new ones!

Make sure yer buy round ones this time. Will save having to cut the corners oft. ;)

They do look very nice Paul, but what do you reckon they'd be like for side slope driving? They look like they have a sort of grove that runs laterally across the whole tyre so maybe would slide?

Yeah, I thought that, but they reckon they're very grippy anyway!

Gotta be said though, despite them also being cheaper, I've had good mileage, wear resistance and grip from these Malatestas ... and with Maxxis being twice the price it's really a no-brainer, other than I'd like a bit bigger than the 238 85's I have .. but Malatesta only do 265 75 and 285 75, which are hardly larger diameter just mostly wider, which I don't need, hence why I'm looking. I'm also considering BFG KM2's .... I'd like original pattern Simex, but they're even more than the Maxxis and BFG! I don't like Insa's, way too hard compound for my liking. Also considering Silverstone 35 10.50 but again, expensive. I have the money, for once, but want value, and spending twice the price for only a little gain isn't a great solution.

The tyes on ine still have a fair bit of life left in them, they've just lost their edges so are starting to slide more than I like, so I'll take my time before actually buying.

Yeah absolutely, I was going to ask your opinion on insa's, I really want some dakars, only because of them being a bfg old style pattern, and remind me of when I was a kid and used to see the tyre prints left by dad who had them! Lol nit really a good enough reason to buy them though!
I run stt pros (I don't know if these would be aggressive enough for your needs) for winter and laning, and i think they're fairly good (never come unstuck with them yet) and I have them in 235/85.
Buying tyres for a Landy is one of my favourite occupations (apart from the price), I love the look of decent rubber! Good luck with the search and keep me updated on what you do decide! :)

Mornin. Fed up at work so booked a day off to tinker and fettle and muck about. SWMBO has other ideas it seems. .
