I have bought a new shredder as the old one only works for 2 minutes in every 30!! With such a rubbish duty cycle it was taking ages to shred stuff.
This new one works for 60 mins then a 10 minute break. I have been using it for the last three hours, almost constantly with just the odd break and it has just kept going!
A bit spendy at £135 but worth it I think

I'd have a dog i think, but not prepared to leave the dog at home for the day while I go to the officeUnderstand but I have found that having the two dogs for company does help 'cos I can talk to them instead of myself!

I had an RAC account when I was insured on the bike with Carole Nash. My throttle cable snapped in the middle of nowhere and as it was a push pull throttle I couldn't just use it directly.
They sent out a recovery vehicle (non RAC) to pick me up. It took them 6 hours to get to me as they were the 'nearest' that would handle bikes!!
Bloody long day out that was, sat by the thing in the sun

Operation hotfix continued. Hadda play wiv me air conditioning box tuvva day. Did quite well at dropping the temp int the room it was int. Had the eggsauce pipe stick oat the window so that meant warm air was coming int from outside, to replace the air it blowed oat. So not cooling the room as quick as it could. Later ont when the temp oat side had dropped, fings were different. Air con cooling the room and pumping hot air oat. Cool air coming int to replace it. A win win situation. That gottid me finking more about what eye was doing.
Int mornings eye open me frog door and kitchen door to let cooler air int. Only works for a certain amount of time as the suns coming up oat side and warming the air. There’s only so much free cooling yer can get frompt oat side that helps yer cool yer cassul. So that gottid me finking about me fan wiv da mesh onnit. That works betterer at sucking cold air int, than warm air oat. You get the same air flow either way but putting cold watta int yer baff makes a more noticeable temp change in the watta than putting int more hot watta. So that’s what eye need to do more of. Pumping cold air int as opposed to warm air oat.
Was looking at biggerer fans ont web and found yer can buy window fans. Yer open said window and they fit int where the window was. They dun’t have mesh over thems so they will suck int flies. Eye want a fan wiv mesh over it ter keep the flies oat. So eye is ont the right path at designing somefink that int been designed before, as others are already selling thems. The important fing to note is it’s only effective if the air temp oat side is 4 degrees C lower than int side. If it int then there int a noticeable change int int side air when the fan is running.

They are called Yokohama Fenders, basically portable fenders placed over the quay into the water for mooring large vessels, keeps vessel clear of hard points, Kevstar said belong to Faslane so guess used for mooring
our Nuclear Subs.
None of mine have ever been left at home alone, all my vehicles have taken on the appearance of mobile kennels to cater for all their needs! It is only on a very rare occasion that this has been impossible and then I have employed a dog sitter for a few hours. They can be a tie and it takes a bit of time to organise life around catering for their needs without missing out yourself.
I am a bit lucky living here now as there is a local pet services business - Pawsitive Pet Care! I haven't used it yet but it is there to do whatever I ask - residential or in the home, an hour or for as many weeks as required. The plus side is that her partner is my gardener/mechanical engineer/handyman.
It's a bit cooler today but still 27c - I am so looking forward to the promised incoming low pressure.
Overnight rain for tomorrow evening should help with that ... not sure what time that'll be for you tho ?
We have a small breeze at the moment which is quite nice. The washing has dried quickly today too! I did a tip run this morning to get it out of the way before it got too hot
If I know it's coming I can wait full of expectation.
That's good news as I'll be on my way to Montgomeryshire in a couple of hours!
