Anyhoo last night I came in an the misses said my neebs next door was there china anniversary??

an they wanted to have a wee drink aye right ffs 2 bottles of rum later so got up late.

Lovely weather today still on the roof we have 700 odd slates on :):)
There's some who would say that you shouldn't be overhung in charge of a roof, but then what do I know, me old china!:D:D
Oh and guess who needs aftersun on his bonce tonight? I bet it matches your legs the other day, and I have no excuse!
Even though I wore a hat all day, I didn't for about half an hour I spent chatting to our neighbours when I went to collect the machine they always look after for us when we are away, plus the champagne and whisky they get for us cheap every year!!;);););). (his wife used to work for Moet and Chandon )

and this happened at about midday.
also the other day I again did stuff in the sun for a little while with no at on!

Ah I see what you done there :D:D I did feel a tad rough until after lunch but I was just about 2m
on the roof an the scaffold is all the way round at about 2ft under the gutter so no risks or I wouldnt
be up there.

What mechanism do you have to swap the polarity?

The box of tricks does it;) we get lots of little white flakes in the pool for the shark to hoover up, so it is working.
But it still gets crusty, so yep working overtime. I actually put it down to the plastic case it’s in as it seems to catch bits and then it builds up so all the bits can’t get out, compound etc:(

Nope, to the last line.
Proper champagne cocktail is brandy/Cognac and Champagne, but then as this is the basis for the cocktail you can roll your own once you know what the trick is. i.e. use the spirit to give it a slight flavour, to enhance it not overpower it. So nowhere near a whole dram in a glass of bubbles. Especially a little glass like a flute. At the end of the day it is only a variation on a Kir Royale.
If I was to put Scotch in it I'd use a soft, Lowland and rather sweet malt. But you could use Drambuie.
At the end of the day, champagne is so expensive I would just put it in a glass and leave it alone. You can always try all this with cheaper sparkling wines, like Cava, etc.

This is making me thirsty now! good thing I have a mug of coffee to hand!

Our box of tricks did this too, until the feckin thing packed up a few years back, since then I rigged up a far simpler system and it works fine, but a bit more manually.
As for changing the polarity, both me and a neighbour with a similar system came to the conclusion we didn't need to change the polarity as our generators just weren't building up and plaque.
So once in a blue moon I swop over the wires on the terminals, which takes a second. Ours is in a bit of the "normal" wide bore plastic tube, but that doesn't seem to be a problem.
Anyway, best of luck with it. you'll be much happier not having to p!ss about with testing, chemicals and the stink of chlorine!:):):)

get the taste for it as for Cava yuk :(

Wyve you given up sugar? Having to watch your waistline or for other health reasons?
I don't take sugar in white coffee, or tea, in fact that last would make me puke, but in the very strongest black coffee I have to take it.
As for Cava and all the other types of replica champagnes, they are what they are, but many places make sparkling wines using the "methode champenoise" and they are indistiguishable from the real thing, they just can't call it that due to the regs covering use of the name, a sparkling Vouvray for instance is great.
The problem is the dicks who make drinks for the Brits are convinced we all have a sweet tooth and thus make muck that would give you tooth decay in 5 minutes if you could stick it in your craw that long. So this is prolly why you don't like Cava etc, although that said decent Cava from eSpain is all right and our Spanish colleagues used to bring it in for celebrations at work, in the days when we were allowed a drink at lunchtime for special occasions.:rolleyes:
So I think we had better just leave you to be the rum expert on the panel!:):):)
